IMPORTANT NOTICE ON 2023/2024 MOP-UP SCREENING/REGISTRATION EXERCISE
The Mop-Up Screening/Registration Exercise of newly admitted UTME and DIRECT ENTRY
candidates who are yet to register will hold from Monday, January 22 to Wednesday, January 31,
2024 from 9:00 a. m to 3:00 p. m., in accordance with the Registration Schedule indicated below.
Please note that there would be no extension of the Mop-up registration exercise.

The required documents for registration are as indicated below:

 Stage 1: Uploading of Documents
A. With UTME Number as Username and Surname in lower case as Password, log in the
UNILAG Student Portal via www.unilag.edu.ng, then Click ADMISSIONS, Admissions
and 2023/2024 SCREENING.
B. Fill the bio-data form and print the Screening Form.
C. candidates are expected to upload the under listed documents (original) while filling the
bio-data form:
i. Birth Certificate
ii. Letter of Reference from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servant,
addressed to The Registrar, University of Lagos
iii. Testimonial from Secondary School attended
iv. State of Origin Certificate
v. JAMB Admission Letter
vi. O’Level Result
vii. Previous Degree Certificate (for DIRECT Entry candidates only)
 Stage 2: Screening
A. Proceed to the registration venue as scheduled.
B. Submit two copies (coloured and photocopy) of the under listed documents to the
registration officer:
i. Screening Form generated from stage 1
ii. UNILAG Online Application Form (for Direct Entry candidates only)
iii. JAMB Acknowledgement Slip (for Direct Entry candidates only)
iv. JAMB Admission Letter (Institution Copy)
v. UTME Result Slip (Not Applicable to Direct Entry candidates)
vi. Post-UTME Result Slip (Not Applicable to 2022 JAMB candidates)
vii. JUPEB/A-LEVEL/OND/HND/BSc. Result Slip (for Direct Entry candidates only)
viii. O’Level Result Certificate (WAEC/NECO). Online version will only be accepted
from the 2023 WAEC/NECO/GCE Results holders. STATEMENT OF RESULT
FROM SECONDARY SCHOOL IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
ix. Letter of Reference (original copy) from a reputable
Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servant (on Letterhead, indicate status in
Office, Lawyers to use the Valid NBA Seal [NOT THE RED SEAL]), addressed to The
Registrar, University of Lagos.

x. Birth Certificate (Photocopies)

xi. Testimonial from Secondary School attended (Photocopies)
xii. State of Origin Certificate (Photocopies). Note: This must be the same state you
registered with JAMB
xiii. Passport Photographs (12 Copies: full names should be written on the reverse side)
Please note that all candidates are to present the original copies of all credentials (birth
certificate/sworn affidavit, testimonial, state of origin and WAEC certificate) for sighting.
 Stage 3: Payment of Fees
A. Generate Payment Advice 24 hours after Stage 2 process
B. Proceed to any bank to make payment
 Stage 4: Faculty/Departmental Registration
Proceed to your Faculty and Department for further registration processes
 Important Notice
A. Impersonation is a serious offence; therefore anyone found guilty of this will automatically
forfeit his/her admission and may be handed over to the Police.
B. DRUG USE: The University has zero tolerance for drug use; hence, a compulsory test shall
be conducted for all newly admitted students ONCE. This could either be before or after
registration. The admission of newly admitted students who test POSITIVE TO DRUG
USE, as well as those who fail to undergo the test shall be WITHDRAWN.
C. The dates for the Orientation Programme and Matriculation Ceremony are as
announced by the University.

REMINDER: ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR FRESH STUDENTS BEGINS, JAN. 29
The Orientation Programme and Fair for fresh students (UTME and Direct Entry) of University of
Lagos (UNILAG) will commence on Monday, January 29, 2024.

The schedule of the programme is available via: https://unilag.edu.ng/?p=29653. All Freshers are
advised to take note of the dates and time; and be present at all the events.

REMINDER: 2023/2024 MATRICULATION CEREMONY HOLDS, FEB. 2
The 2023/2024 Matriculation Ceremony for Fresh UTME and Direct Entry Students of the
University of Lagos (UNILAG) will hold as follows:
Date: Friday, February 2, 2024
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Venue: Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall, UNILAG, Akoka

Members of the University community and the general public are cordially invited.

PLEASE ALWAYS SWITCH OFF:
 Electrical appliances not in use,
 Electrical appliances in offices, lecture theatres, classrooms and laboratories at the
close of daily activities, and
 External lightings and street lights during daytime.
