SL Idioms Dialogue

INSTRUCTIONS

Your goal is to produce a conversation that sounds natural using as many idioms as possible from your lists. Each student is responsible for 5 idioms.
In Part 1, each student must learn his/her five idioms—the definitions and how to use them in sentences. In Part 2, the students are partnered together.
Then each student teaches his/her partner the 5 idioms that they just learned. Finally, Part 3 requires the partnered students to make up a scene in
which you can both use as many of the idioms as possible in a natural-sounding dialogue. You can write the scene out word-for-word or you can
improvise it. The more idioms you use and the more natural it comes across, the better. After acting out the scene, students will share with the class
which idioms they used and explain the context—if necessary.
