Should children have to wear school uniform?

This debate discusses if school uniform should be banned or not. Some people prefer to
keep school uniform because for them, it is a badge of pride but many others believe in
freedom and let students wearing, the latest fashion wear, because it leaves them feeling
content. Here are some arguments for and against school uniform.
Firstly, a majority of people think that when wearing uniform, students don't focus on
their appearance and they work more studiously. Secondly, they also feel more safe wearing
uniform, as no-one would steal their stylish belongings. Lastly, it prevents obnoxious behavior
against the poor families, who can't afford fashionable clothes.
Despite this, there are many people that criticize the idea of school uniform, because
they claim that students feel more confident in their own clothes. Others also say that the cost
of school uniform is too high for them to afford it. Finally, people argue that their clothes show
their creativeness.
In conclusion, there are many strong arguments for and against. If children will have to
carry on wearing school uniform, it will help them to work more sedulously, but then again
there are lots of people who execrate the idea of school uniform, since children feel more
confident in their own clothes. I believe that having school uniform is important to students but
to satisfy everyone, there should be choices between schools, where one would impose the
rule of uniform and others not.
