Activity Overview:
This activity gives students a chance to review actual financial information from annual reports
of real companies.
In a group of two, find a company’s recent annual report. Review the annual financial report and
identify the financial position balances. Identify the following numbers:

Identify any highlights of the fiscal year. What is their Fiscal Year? What did they
accomplish? List 3 things.

Who is their auditor? Review the audit opinion. What are the critical matters?

Make a 5-minute presentation highlighting what the company is, what is their fiscal year-
end, the three things the company accomplished during the fiscal year, who is their auditor,
the audit opinion and any critical matters.
