Some parents feel that it is the sole responsibility of the school
to discipline and nurture their children. They have no idea how
their children are behaving in school. So when they get a call
from the school authorities to inform them that their children
are causing problems, they are totally shocked. Although we
have disciplinary teachers and prefects to monitor students,
nothing much could be done if bullying happens outside the
school parameters. We hope parents and members of the
community would share information with us so that we can

Every morning my pet cat, Dusty would come and wake me up.
Today however she did not. At first I was not too worried. I then
went to give Dusty her breakfast. She barely stirred from her sleep.
She would normally gobble up her food in seconds. When Dusty
finally woke up, she vomited. I began to panic. My mother and I
quickly took Dusty to the veterinarian.

The veterinarian, Dr Anand, examined Dusty and said she was

suffering from gastritis. She told us there was nothing to worry and
gave Dusty some medicine. Dr Anand told us that Dusty would be
cured in a day or two. We took Dusty home and gave her the
medicine. Just as Dr Anand predicted, Dusty was fine after a few
days. Phew!
