Most superficial
Fibers directed downward
& forward
Origin: from lower border of Costo-chondral junction

thoracic vein
drains into the
subclavian vein.
Lymphatics
• Lymph vessels of the intercostal space conform to the general rule,
that deep lymphatics follow arteries
