Introduction Wiradjuri is an abourigonal land and country also a comunity. In english Wiradjuri mean the people of the three rivers. The rivers were located around the inner of the country. The rivers were called Lachlan, Murrumbidgee and Macquarie location Wiradjuri extends from Coonabarabran in north down to murry river and out to western nsw. food the tribe would gather food such as fruit nuts and seads and hunt small animals such as lizards. traditions & belifes &celibrations dreaming was very important it was like story telling it told how the land was created,how their ancestors were to have lived, how animals,trees, were created it also describes how people should behave. In their folk tales they looked up to oome creatures and characters and treated them as god. some examples of these characters are bunyip, merriuula dog and hairy man or mukki man known as by natives. Whenever that there was a gathering they would always celebrate with music and dance. they also belived that they didn’t own the land that they were on they only had to look after it. language in the past over 1200 people spoke the language before colinisation. the language stopede being spoken in the 20th century. it is now taught inn schools as a language to learn. Pama - Nyungan language was spoken and being taught this current day. clothing the people of the tribe traditionally wore kangaroo and possom skin cloaks to keep warm in the winter. They were also highly valued peices and were given as gifts in mariages. fun facts the country organised themselves into three groups narrander, cootamudra and murranbulla they were skilled hunters also known by others as the hunter clan. the groups still conttinue to live out in the out back in the 21st century . there country was one of the biggest country in australia in those times.
