 2017 HIGHLIGHTS

As one of the major directive by DILG regarding terrorism issues, A seminar was conducted on
December 11, 2017 “Preventing and Countering Violent Extremis” headed by our PPSC President,
PDDG RICARDO F. DE LEON (Ret.) Ph.D. to address such issue and promote peace in our
Country.

One (1) Family Day event conducted on November 01, 2017 for PSBRC Class 2017-02 Alpha to
India wherein students/trainees spent time with their love ones. With Guest Speaker PCI JOEL C

 The current situation in Zamboanga Peninsula and the ongoing peace talks between GRP and
MILF panel, an international monitoring team headed by Col Mohd Fazly Said visited RTC 9 and
brief us about their recent efforts towards peace process.as the instructor. For the year, three (3)
courses (Leadership, COPS, IDC) participated by 36 PNP personnel for 10 days, respectively were
conducted by RTC 9 held at our very own ICITAP building

On October 19, 2017, RTC 9 conduced a human rights-based seminar among the PSBRC
trainees. Atty. Arbee A. Arquiza and Mr. Daniel S. Paculanang of the Commission on Human
Rights (CHR) Region 9 was the resource person during the seminarCOPS, IDC) participated by 36

Course Class 2018-03 and Public Safety Officers Advance Course Class 2018-09, with Hon. Maria
Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, Mayor of Zamboanga City, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Other
guest who graced the occasion were PDDG RICARDO F DE LEON, President, Philippine Public
Safety College; POLICE DIRECTOR CEDRICK G TRAIN, Director, Directorate for the Human
Resources and Doctrine Development (DHRDD), National Headquarters, Camp Crame; and
