What being me looks like?

Dara Joyce Decena Alvarez is my full name. In short, you can call me Dara. My first
name, “Dara,” came from my father, “Darius,” while my second name, “Joyce,” came from my
mother, “Joy.” And yeah, my name was actually a combination of my parents’ names. I am now
an 18-year-old woman. I was born in the month of hearts, February 22, 2006, in Gumaca,
Quezon. I am a Grade 12 student on an academic track in the strand of Accountancy, Business,
and Management (ABM). And yes, I am finally graduating students. And of course, I took ABM
because my dream career is to be a certified public accountant. And back then, my first dream
was to be a teacher. Being a teacher was actually my dream when I was a child. I want to teach
students to write, to draw, and to learn many things about the world.
I do like many things; I always like to hang out with my friends, go to beaches, play with
my guitar, listen to music, try new foods, go to different places, and many more. Hanging out
with my friends always makes me feel happy and can ease and calm my feelings. That’s why I
always treasure every friend that I have. I love playing the guitar and listening to music because
it can make me feel relaxed and loved. I also love watching anime and kdrama, especially in my
free time.
I have this motto that I always bring: “You never lose, Either you win or you learn”. By
adopting this perspective, we may change how we respond to challenges, difficulties, and our
own personal growth. My main goal for now is to graduate and survive my college life. And to
do my best and be the best version of myself.
