 दे हिनोऽस्मिन्यथा दे िे कौमारं यौवनं जरा ।
तथा दे िान्तरप्रास्मिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यहत ॥ १३ ॥
 dehino ’smin yathā dehe
kaumāraṁ yauvanaṁ jarā
tathā dehāntara-prāptir
dhīras tatra na muhyati
 Synonyms
 dehinaḥ — of the embodied; asmin — in this; yathā —
as; dehe — in the body; kaumāram —
boyhood; yauvanam — youth; jarā — old age; tathā —
similarly; deha-antara — of transference of the
body; prāptiḥ — achievement; dhīraḥ — the
sober; tatra — thereupon; na — never; muhyati — is
deluded.
 Translation
 As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body,
from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly
passes into another body at death. A sober person is
not bewildered by such a change.
TRANSMIGRATION
 शरीरं यदवाप्‍नोहत यच्‍ाप्युत्क्रामतीश्वर: ।
गृिीत्वैताहन संयाहत वायुगगन्धाहनवाशयात् ॥ ८ ॥
 śarīraṁ yad avāpnoti
yac cāpy utkrāmatīśvaraḥ
gṛhītvaitāni saṁyāti
vāyur gandhān ivāśayāt
 Synonyms
 śarīram — the body; yat — as; avāpnoti —
gets; yat — as; ca api — also; utkrāmati — gives
up; īśvaraḥ — the lord of the body; gṛhītvā —
taking; etāni — all these; saṁyāti — goes
away; vāyuḥ — the air; gandhān — smells; iva —
like; āśayāt — from their source.
 Translation
 The living entity in the material world carries his
different conceptions of life from one body to
another, as the air carries aromas. Thus he takes
one kind of body and again quits it to take
another.
 श्रोत्रं चक्षु : स्पशगनं च रसनं घ्राणमेव च ।
अहर्धष्ठाय मनश्चायं हवषयानुपसेवते ॥ ९ ॥
 śrotraṁ cakṣuḥ sparśanaṁ ca
rasanaṁ ghrāṇam eva ca
adhiṣṭhāya manaś cāyaṁ
viṣayān upasevate
 Synonyms
 śrotram — ears; cakṣuḥ — eyes; sparśanam — touch; ca —
also; rasanam — tongue; ghrāṇam — smelling power; eva —
also; ca — and; adhiṣṭhāya — being situated in; manaḥ — mind; ca —
also; ayam — he; viṣayān — sense objects; upasevate — enjoys.
 Translation
 The living entity, thus taking another gross body, obtains a certain
type of ear, eye, tongue, nose and sense of touch, which are grouped
about the mind. He thus enjoys a particular set of sense objects.

 श्रीप्रह्राद उवाच
कौमार आचरे त्प्राज्ञो र्धमाग न्भागवताहनि ।
दु र्गभं मानुषं जन्म तदप्यध्रुवमथग दम् ॥ १ ॥
 śrī-prahrāda uvāca
kaumāra ācaret prājño
dharmān bhāgavatān iha
durlabhaṁ mānuṣaṁ janma
tad apy adhruvam arthadam
 Synonyms
 śrī-prahrādaḥ uvāca — Prahlāda Mahārāja said; kaumāraḥ — in the tender age of
childhood; ācaret — should practice; prājñaḥ — one who is intelligent; dharmān —
occupational duties; bhāgavatān — which are devotional service to the Supreme
Personality of Godhead; iha — in this life; durlabham — very rarely obtained; mānuṣam —
human; janma — birth; tat — that; api — even; adhruvam — impermanent,
temporary; artha-dam — full of meaning.
 Translation
 Prahlāda Mahārāja said: One who is sufficiently intelligent should use the human form
of body from the very beginning of life — in other words, from the tender age of
childhood — to practice the activities of dharma. The human body is most rarely
achieved, and although temporary like other bodies, it is meaningful because in human
life one can perform dharma. Even a slight amount of sincere dharma can give one
complete perfection.

Pāṇḍu; ca — and; eva — certainly; kim — exceptional power; dhruvā —
what; akurvata — did they do; sañjaya — certain; nītiḥ — morality; matiḥ mama —
O Sañjaya. my opinion.
 Translation  Translation
 O Sañjaya, after my sons and the sons of  Wherever there is Kṛṣṇa, the master of all
Pāṇḍu assembled in the place of mystics, and wherever there is Arjuna, the
pilgrimage at Kurukṣetra, desiring to fight, supreme archer, there will also certainly
what did they do? be opulence, victory, extraordinary power,
and morality.

यावच्ेस्मियशस्मिर प्रहतिता यावत्क्षयो नायुषाः
आत्मश्रेयहस तावदे व हवदु षा- कार्य्गाः प्रयत्न
मिान्सन्दीिे भवने तु कूपखननं प्रत्युद्यमाः कीदृशाः GP13.24
As long as the body is healthy ,free from sickness
as long as old age has not set in as long as the
power of sense organs are not impaired as long as
ONE WHO IS there is no risk to life ,an intelligent man should
INTELLIGENT- endeavor for the welfare of the soul. Its
WILL foolishness to begin to dig a well when the house

यज्ञदानतप:कमग न त्याज्यं कायगमेव तत् ।
DANAM-DONATION यज्ञो दानं तपश्चैव पावनाहन मनीहषणाम् ॥ ५ ॥
yajña-dāna-tapaḥ-karma
na tyājyaṁ kāryam eva tat
yajño dānaṁ tapaś caiva
pāvanāni manīṣiṇām
Synonyms

penance; karma — activity; na — never; tyājyam — to be
given up; kāryam — must be done; eva —
certainly; tat — that; yajñaḥ — sacrifice; dānam —

HONG LEONG certainly; pāvanāni — purifying; manīṣiṇām — even for
the great souls.
Translation
190-00-02090-2 Acts of sacrifice, charity and penance are not
to be given up; they must be performed.
Indeed, sacrifice, charity and penance purify
even the great souls.
