Presently, all. the functions of providing civic amenities and up-keep, development & maintenance of the Sectors, have been vested in Noida Authority (NA) which is a multi- functional authority. In the absence of publicly elected representatives, like municipal councilors etc., which provide @ desired link between the public and the authority, functions relating to. provision of civic amenities may not be looked after well, in the best interests of the citizens of Noida. We have, therefore, been pieading that at least two representatives from our Federation, may be associated with Noida Board in order to assist NA in regard to the formulation of the requisite policies/procedures which may be in the best interests of the citizens and for effective implementation of the policies/procedures so formulated and the schemes/plans chalked out. Jn this connection, may we also submit that we have learnt that in the past, an Advisory Committee, comprising of two representatives of residents and one representative of industrialists, had been set up in the year 2001 and the same existed till 2005. We would, therefore, earnestly request you to kindly have such an advisory committee set up again , until any final decision regarding representation in Noida Board could be reached Vill., ESSENTIAL & CRITICAL NEED FOR SHOPPING COMPLEXES IN SECTORS. May we bring to your kind attention that yet there are several Sectors of Noida city where shopping complexes have not been provided and the, residents of such Sectors have to travel distance of miles to purchase items of their daily use. Hence RWAs of such Sectors have been pleading for provision of the markets in their Sectors so as to avoid an unnecessary hardship and inconvenience to their residents, e.g., Sectors 52, 70, 71, 72, 73, 100, 105, 108 and 135 etc. May we request for your kind directions in this regard. ‘We shall be extremely grateful to you if you could kindly issue necessary directions for resolution of the above-mentioned most critical problems being faced by resident of Noida., on an immediate basis.
