idea of a homework club, it may be a great incentive for the students who do not turn their work in.
They would fill out a paper with their name and date and stick it in their box if they had forgotten to
complete their assignment. However, when Pauline O’Reilly’s young son Finn made the
announcement, she decided that she was going to take him seriously and keep him at home. Our

homework situation. My 3rd Annual Eastern Michigan University Author Visit. This usually gives
me pretty good results (plus I have really cooperative parents.sorry to those of you that struggle in
this area). The idea of just calling it a club will make my 4th graders want to do it. All profits, says
O’Sullivan, are reinvested back into the school. It may be a good way to incentivize (like my vocab?)

Reading Response Journal you can learn more about them both. I just posted the whole jazzed up
version of my Homework Club pack on TpT and I'm pretty proud of it. I have parents who don't care
some who lose it if their child brings one home. I think I'm going to put them in the hallway this

2013 at 1:35 PM I love this idea. But one idea under consideration includes providing greater
capitation funding in cases where schools respond to demand for after-school services. When the
students bring it back it gets them a ticket to play homeworkoply. I totally agree that many students
do not complete homework due to lack of support at home. I have breastfed my children, co-slept
and generally tried to respect their instinct to be human and to learn everything they can about the
world, to be cared for by those they trust and to move out towards the world once they feel fully
secure and attached. BUT, I do hold them accountable and try to develop that responsibility and
pride in a job well done. Robert’s teacher, Mr. Brinson, has said that not only is this an outstanding
result, but Robert also managed to achieve full marks in the question and answer element of the exam
which can be one of the most challenging aspects of the exam, and the fact that Robert achieved full

I teach in a Title I Magnet elementary school and have a lot of students who struggle to complete
homework as they do not have much support at home. The Galway family is now home educating,

sometimes I let one or two assignments slip through without a lot fuss. This pack displayed might
encourage more of my students to return their homework. So, to go with this new improved plan,
I'm looking for something just like this to keep track of it. The after-school service is provided by
seven staff members who are not teachers, but who have childcare qualifications. Our WBYO
philosophy is that any kid is unstoppable once they want something badly enough. I'm moving back

Support So I Think This Would Be A Great Way To Motivate And Recognize Their Responsibility In
Completing Homework.I Always Love Your Ideas. I love that each month the kids have a chance
(with a few passes) for a certificate, lunch and being posted on the Honmework Wall of Fame. The

support at home. The centres have also become a space for youth that are doing tertiary studies to
come and study. I like your comment that students need to be responsible no matter which adversity
they are facing. If it doesn't come back the next day, the student must take an extra from my extra
box to do during recess or at home depending on the assignment. The supervising teacher will not be
responsible for checking the homework of any child upon completion, this remains the responsibility
