“Bam” The door slammed and my dad came in my room excited, and bellowed out,” Nolan, it is a beautiful sunny
day, perfect for trying to ride your bike.”
As my dad was grabbing his walking gear, I was just getting out of bed. Yawning and stretching, making
screeching noises. I mumbled, “I will be out in just a few minutes, dad.”
I must have fallen back to sleep, because, later my dad came back in the room shaking me and tapping on the
bed post, “Tap” “Tap”” wake up! so you can learn how to ride your bike”.
So, I crawled out of bed moaning and groaning, and went outside to learn to ride my bike. I kept failing, hitting
my shins on the pedals every time,” Ouch!” I yelled.” I wasn’t even able to push the peddle one full rotation. I was
feeling a bit frustrated but, kept trying until each time it got a little easier to move the bike further through the grass
in the yard. My dad kept giving me advice, he said, “try to stand up while peddling and go faster it helps with
balance.”
“Dad, I am doing it my way,” I replied. It did become easier and easier, though one time I tipped off and fell right
onto my bike.” Yikes”. Of course, my mom caught it all on camera, the part where I fall. Ha! Ha! After the fall I
was determined to do better practiced all day and” Boom,” I was starting to actually ride my bike. I was turning,
shifting gears, and ridding laps around the house, and soon after, I was even making my own tricks. all in one
day.
The end.
