Rock Formation:

- Rocks are solid mineral formations that make up the Earth's crust.

Types of Rocks:

- Sedimentary Rocks: Formed from the accumulation and compaction of sediments. Examples are

sandstone and limestone.

- Metamorphic Rocks: Formed from existing rocks transformed by heat and pressure. Examples

include marble and slate.
