Official Health Update on H.H.

Swami Maharaja,

Mahaprabhu and Srila
Prabhupada,Today Guru Maharaja
said he is feeling better.

Even though Guru Maharaja's

dependency on external support for
breathing has reduced, he is still
using external support. With chest
physiotherapy and medications
going on, doctors are expecting this
to improve further which will enable
Guru Maharaja to breathe normally.
Guru Maharaja is also very weak
physically. This is also making it
difficult for Guru Maharaja to be
able to breathe on his own and his
saturation still drops when he exerts
himself.

The doctors have been mobilising

Guru Maharaja more now which is
very important for his recovery.
Because of the weakness, Guru
Maharaja is finding it difficult to
stand even with support.
Dr Rela visited Guru Maharaja again
today and told him that he would
get discharged from the hospital
soon.

The devotee doctor on the ground,

Dr Hari Guru Gaura prabhu shared
this incident from a few days back-

Guru Maharaja's position was very

critical when we took him to Apollo,
in Kolkata. He received massive
blood transfusions and was put on a
ventilator and given many
medications to successfully airlift
him to Chennai.
In Chennai, Guru Maharaja
underwent two surgeries in
successive days, and then the tube
from the mouth (connected to the
ventilator) was taken out. He needed
one day to resume talking again
after that.

The next day Guru Maharaja's voice

recovered, and that evening Guru
Maharaja suddenly woke up and
asked what is the time. We told him
it was 4 pm. Guru Maharaja said, "I
have a GBC meeting at 5 and I want
to attend that. Make
arrangements!"
Guru Maharaja remembered about
the meeting, the date, the time
inspite of all the sedation he
received in the last few days and he
woke up just before the scheduled
meeting.

It was so shocking! He was just able

to speak again and moreover he
wasn't even breathing on his own
yet! But that didn’t stop Guru
Maharaja from discussing
important aspects about temple
management and trying to spread
Lord Caitanya's mission.

On one side, the nurse was giving

medicines through the nose, IV
injections into the neck, there was a
drain collecting blood from the
abdomen after the surgery and Guru
Maharaja was attending the meeting
keeping the phone next to his right
ear (where he can hear better).

Nothing is an obstacle for Guru

Maharaja!

Guru Maharaja is teaching us by his

example how to overcome obstacles
in our life by being focused on our
service to Guru and Gauranga . Let
us all improve our sadhana and
services for the pleasure of Guru
Maharaja which will help him
recover soon . So please continue to
chant and circumambulate Tulsi
devi and follow strictly the 4
regulative principles. This will help
Guru Maharaja to gain his health
and come out of hospital soon.
