TOUCH N GO- SELF- SERVICE KIOSK

INTRODUCTION

Touch ’n Go is the cornerstone of the digital transformation within Malaysia’s mobility ecosystem,
pioneering seamless consumer experiences for millions across the nation. At the forefront of the
Fintech revolution, our every effort enhances how this nation lives, works and plays. The Touch
'n Go smart card is used by Malaysian toll expressway and highway operators as the
sole electronic payment system (EPS). The credit card-sized smart card is made of plastic
with Philips' MIFARE Classic microchip technology embedded in it. The Touch 'n Go systems are
designed to process up to 800 vehicles per hour to ease the queue congestion at toll plazas and
if used together with SmartTAG (a non-stop electronic toll collection system), will be able to
process up to 1,200 vehicles per hour.

MODULES TYPE

After clicking on the screen, there will be two options for the user, either to topup touch n go card
or to top up touch n go e wallet. If you press touch n go card, there will be three options; to top up
with cash, maybank 2 u QR pay, or using e wallet. If you press either one, there will be selections
of RM 10, 20, 50 or 100 to top up your touch n go card. After that, there will be prompt that will
tell the user to pay either using QR, cash or e wallet. If the user pressed to top up your touch n
go ewallet, the same thing will appear on the screen, that is to choose the amount to top up.

BAD MODULES

As you can see from above, you can see that the user interface for the user is not user
friendly. Users sometimes need guidance as to how to use the kiosks, especially users with
old age need help with how to use the machine as the screen is too small to see for them.
And some of the people do not know how to use the machine as they did not give any
tutorial or whatsoever. Some of the kiosks on the touch n go ewallet does not work so that
may be inconvenience for the users.

THE BENEFIT

Self-service kiosks are all the rage at the moment. It’s becoming increasingly rare to
find retail shops, restaurants and public spaces that don’t utilise self-service kiosk
technology in some form. One of the key benefits of self-service kiosks to your organization
is that they will save you resources, particularly staff time. Take, for example, a self-
service visitor management kiosk. These kiosks allow visitors, staff, and contractors to sign
in to your building using a kiosk without needing any assistance from a receptionist. This
allows your administration and reception staff to focus on more pressing tasks. Not only are
you able to save valuable time here, but you can take these saved resources and distribute
them where needed.

MySejahtera

INTRODUCTION

MySejahtera Application is a application that was initially created to help the government
manage the COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia by, among other things, enabling the program's
users to conduct a self-health assessment, monitor their health status, and share that data
with the Ministry of Health (MOH) so that necessary actions could be taken. The
Government of Malaysia is the owner and operator of the App. MySejahtera is changing
from a tool made expressly to fight the COVID-19 pandemic to a public health application as
the nation moves from pandemic phase to endemic phase.

MODULES TYPE

The Covid-19 vaccination and risk status, most recent Covid-19 updates, nearest health
facilities, health guides, and other diverse health-related information are only a few of the
many modules that make up MySejahtera. In order to help the Ministry of Health take
additional, quick, and effective action, Covid-19 vaccination and risk status allows users to
undertake their own health assessments. The most recent Covid-19 updates let users to
learn about Covid hotspots, be aware of travel-related choices including applying for home
quarantine, and fill out pre-departure papers for Malaysian tourists. Users can learn about
the nearest hospitals and clinics that handle Persons Under Investigation (PUI), Valid Covid-
19 cases, and clinics that handle Covid-19 sampling screening. The organ donor pledge is a
module where users can pledge or register voluntarily for at any time to donate organs at
your point of death. However, this depends on whether user’s organs or tissue are deemed
suitable for donation.

BAD MODULES

The module that has a bad design or an interaction is the FAQs module where instead of
opening a page inside the app when you access the FAQs module, the application will
open a window or tab via the user's device search browser. The user will not find this to be
very convenient as users will need to close or change application tab if they accidentally
click on the module. Moreover, the information displayed in the FAQs module is congested
as all the information are displayed in the page. It is inconvenient as users might only want
to read information on specific questions but since the application displays all of its question
and information, users will have to read through all of them to get to the question or
information that they wanted to read initially.

THE BENEFIT

The benefits of the MySejahtera application are being able to give users the ability to
conduct a personal health self-assessment while also giving the Ministry of Health early
awareness of their state to enable future, successful action. Users can also discover the
classification of their health by answering inquiries about their travel history and previously
experienced symptoms in the application. Users will better understand about their health
state and take information on what to do next if they experience any COVID-19 symptoms
through these self-assessment questions. Moreover, users can also use the application to
monitor on how well their family members or the people surrounding them who are staying
with them or around them are doing.

Home Workout- No Equipments

INTRODUCTION

Home Workouts provides daily workout routines for all your main muscle groups. In just a
few minutes a day, you can build muscles and keep fitness at home without having to go
to the gym. No equipment or coach needed, all exercises can be performed with just your
body weight.

MODULES TYPE

The app features a type of objective modules. The major body area that the user will focus
on using the app is up to them to decide. as in working your quads, biceps, back, or
entire body. After selecting one, the app will open to a different screen and prompt the user
to select the level of difficulty and length of the workout.

DCS 20703 - Human Computer Interaction

BAD MODULES

The bad module that we chose is the discover module, user cannot differentiate between
which package is free and which is the paid ones. This is an inconvenience to the user as
they have to browse one by one as the application did not specify on which goal or exercise
is free or which needs to be paid, users would spend a lot of time searching on this module
just to decide on a package if they were to factor in whether its free or pay.

THE BENEFIT

Weight watchers or people who want to gain weight can mention the type and amount of
foods consumed at each meal. From this information, health apps calculate the calories,
carbohydrates, proteins and fat content of your meal. In this way, you can avoid foods that
may not be right for your health. You can track all your food intake easily and maintain a
digital food diary at just one click. Studies have found that maintaining a food diary or a food
log helps individuals to eat food more consciously.

JISHO.ORG

INTRODUCTION

Jisho is an effective Japanese-English dictionary. It enables users to quickly and simply find
words, kanji, example phrases, and more. Their objective is to create a new sort of dictionary
that aids users in comprehending any Japanese text, rather than only allowing them to look
up individual words or kanji. Jisho users only need to paste the material they wish to
understand—whether it be English, romaji, a single word, or a whole paragraph of Japanese
language—and the application will search a vast database to provide explanations for the
words, kanji, and even grammar structures.

MODULES TYPE

After the user enters the website, the user has to enter any Japanese text or English word in
the search box and Jisho will search a of data for you. There are quite a few modules in the
website such as draw, radicals and voice for those who have difficulties in typing the words
then want to search in the web in the search box. There are other informational modules
such as Forum and About. Forum is a module where discussions are made between the
website’s users’ community on Japanese words and the About is a module on the website’s
information on the websites owner and where they are getting the data on the Japanese
words and its meanings. The is also a search option module where information is displayed
on how to utilize the search box and other information such as romaji conversion, Wildcards,
Unit Conversion, Multiple search terms and many more.

PRAVEIN PILLAII 012021071617

DCS 20703 - Human Computer Interaction

BAD MODULES

Referring to the image above you can see that the search option module a has a vast variety
of search option for the search box and many other information displayed. Users would need
to read all the information even if that is not the information that the user wants and the page
itself looks very cramped with all the information’s from the type of search option. As the
section for the word search tag is long, a user would have to scroll to the very bottom of the
page if he would want to search a particular word from the word search tag.

THE BENEFIT

Users who are using this website while attending school with an intention in continuing their
higher studies in Japan would find that this website is helpful in finding new Japanese words
and would find that learning the Japanese language is not as hard as it should be with the
website’s assistance. This Would also provide opportunity for other people who are looking
into moving to Japan a taste of their language and its dialects. Being able to learn the
Japanese language would also provide the websites users various opportunity to find job
vacancies.
