METHOD STATEMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF BLOWER AND BLOWER MOTOR

Purpose:

Purpose of this method statement is to provide maximum safety to the man and machine, utilize
resources and extend utmost life of equipment.

Steps of Installation:

1. Always select for the genuine spare part (blower motor and blower) available from the
authorized dealer of the make.
2. Select the correct model and check the continuity and phase of the motor
3. Power of the main supply before opening the outdoor/indoor unit cover for accessing
the blower motor and blower.
4. Remove the outdoor cover by unscrewing the provided screws.
5. Slide out the panel unit from the cabinet.
6. Remove the old fan motor by loosening the nuts and bolts.
7. Fix the new blower to the blower motor in correct alignment and tighten the same
8. Fix the blower motor to the unit at the desired area and connect the cables accordingly.
9. Ensure that there are no loose connections.
10. Ensure that all the pre-commissioning checks are carried out successfully.
11. Check the fan capacitor is functional or not and replace if found faulty.
12. Start the fan for a moment & check the direction of rotation of the fan / motor is
correct.
13. Upon ensuring correct direction of rotation, start the fan and run for 5 minutes.
14. Check for any undue vibration or noise.
15. Check any control / safety devices for proper functionality.
16. Check & record the correct & voltage on all phases.
