In response to the evolving digital landscape, Digilancers emerges as a specialized Business

Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm committed to addressing the growing demand for skilled

outsourcing solutions. Digilancers has a diverse service portfolio spanning website automation,

digital marketing, consultation, and business development.

Founded to empower businesses through innovative digital solutions, Digilancers specifically

extends its services to startups and SMEs struggling to balance quality work with budget

constraints. The firm's unique selling proposition lies in its ability to provide clients with a

unified, cross-functional team with diverse skills.

The organizational structure will initially adopt a projectized approach to accommodate the

changing workload. After gaining prominent stability and success, it will transition to a hybrid

team structure.

Problem Background

In today’s digital landscape, modern enterprises must stay updated with constantly changing

market trends and demand. The current dynamic of the business world’s cutthroat

competitiveness highlights the importance of BPO organizations in encouraging scalability,

agility, and access to a diverse global talent pool. (Lacity et al., 2011)

This transformation results in improved procedures, enhanced customer service, and reduced

operating costs, resulting in increased growth and profitability for enterprises. The need for rapid

online services is increasing for any business that operates in the digital atmosphere. However,

businesses lose their position in the digital landscape when they lack the necessary resources to

provide up-to-date services. Therefore, companies tend to outsource projects to BPO firms given

the limited accessibility of budget and resources.

Introduction to Digilancers

Considering this ongoing demand, we are determined to provide BPO solutions to startups and

SMEs through our digital agency, which will be established during our FYP project. As startups

and SMEs struggle the most to keep the quality of work and budget aligned, we believe that our

BPO firm can cater to the demands of this market. Our company, named “Digilancers,” will be

established online. We will provide diverse services to our clients virtually through our website.

Legal Status and Ownership

Digilancers is being established as a partnership under the Partnership Act 1932. This legal setup

was chosen for its flexibility and simplicity. This structure allows for collaborative management

and equal capital sharing. (THE PARTNERSHIP ACT,1932)

Organizational Design

During the inaugural stages of our business development, we will adopt a projectized

organizational structure to effectively accommodate varying task volumes in response to client

Our approach involves recruiting specialized personnel as per the project requirements.

Leveraging their expertise and guided by the leadership of our team leaders (founding members),

we aim to deliver optimal services to our clients. As our firm progresses towards scalability, we

will transition to a hybrid team structure. This strategic change will ensure a balanced

integration of functional expertise and project-oriented flexibility in our organizational

framework.

Our CEO, Mohsin Saeed, has vast experience managing teams to achieve targets and

Business Development Current Progress

As part of our ongoing business development initiatives, Digilancers is currently securing three

prospective clients for our service platform. We are at an advanced stage of negotiations with our

inaugural client, Datalytiks. We are nearing the finalization of our agreement, marked by signing

a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Concurrently, discussions are underway with an

international e-commerce store, for which we intend to provide a suite of services.

Over the coming six-month period of our Final Year Project, we plan to strategically utilize

freelancing platforms such as Upwork and Fiverr, alongside our LinkedIn account and various

digital media channels, to expand and diversify our service portfolio. This approach is

specifically designed to target and cater to the needs of small-scale businesses. We are confident

that these efforts will significantly contribute to achieving a high customer success rate, as these

platforms provide an ideal avenue to connect with our target market and showcase our

comprehensive range of BPO services.

Costs Breakdown

Starting a business like Digilancers requires careful planning and strategic investment.

Allocation of resources is critical in laying the groundwork for success. The figure in Appendix

1.3 shows our cost distributions in detail:

● Tools and Equipment:

This will include the cost of tools and equipment like workstations necessary to provide

our services.

● Legal Fees:

This will include the costs incurred in the registration of the company and costs

associated with patents and trademarks.

● Marketing Cost:

Social media ads, Google ads, and content creation costs will be a part of this cost.

● Upwork Connects Cost:

This will include the cost of buying connects for bidding.

● Internet Cost:

The cost of a fast and reliable internet connection.

Expected Revenue

As in Dilgilancer, we will provide services (Web development and Search engine Optimization),

and clients will be liable for paying PKR.40,000 for these services. For Business Development,

our organization will charge 10% of the project ($50 for a project worth $500). The calculated

revenue description below for the 6-month period (December 2023 - May 2024) is given in

Appendix 1.4 below.

It is to be noted that all the costs related to tools and licenses (web domain, hosting etc.) will be

incurred by our clients due to which those costs are excluded from estimated costs. The revenue

calculations and cost estimations explicitly depict that the Digilancers will be able to secure a

profit of PKR.160,000.00 (approx) by the end of June 2024.

Payback Period

The monthly revenue will be PKR.50,000.00 (300,000/6). The estimated Payback Period can be

analyzed below:

Payback Period = 140,000/50,000 = 3 months (approximately)

This illustrates that Digilancers will be able to cover the invested amount in the span of 5

months.

Profit and Loss Statement

The Profit and Loss Statement of Digilancers is attached below in Appendix 1.5. It projects a net

profit of PKR. 179,550 for the six-month period. The tax expense accounts for 0.25% of EBIT.

Revenue Projections for the Year 2024

Digilancers expects to achieve the target of PKR.700,000 by the end of the year 2024 with up to

10 clients onboard. The revenue projections for 2024 are illustrated below in Appendix 1.6.
