warned, with the draft

Power Master Plan priori-
tising fossil fuel import for
the next five years despite
forecasts about the inter-
national energy market
remaining volatile over
the time.A 45 per cent
expansion of the current
installed power genera-
tion capacity by 2026, as
planned by the Power De-
velopment Board, would
occur mostly through
fossil fuel imports, the
IEPMP suggests. But high
gas and oil prices have al-
ready put dollar-strapped

in a crisis, prompting the
adoption of power cuts
due to reduced electricity
