INTRODUCTION
Problem: mosquito repellent burns cause odor, ARI, sticky lotion on the body, irritation,
wasteful spray, and expensive. Solution: products that do not cause unpleasant odors, do

METHOD
The tools and materials used in this research are

According to Ainanda those who used lemongrass obtained good herbal mosquito
repellent results, while Fitri’s research showed that using lavender was more effective
than lemongrass.

Work steps :
Prepare the tools and materials, cut the lemongrass and wash it clean, put it in a steaming
pan that has been filled with 1:2 water, put ice cubes on top of the steaming pan, heat it at
a temperature of 40-90 degrees for 60-90 minutes, drain and strain, put it in a bottle.

Data retrieval :
The candle is lit in a closed dark room, the fist observer goes into the room for 10
minutes, comes out, the data is recorded (are there mosquito bites on observer 1, are there
any dead mosquitoes in the room), then observer 2 goes into the room for 10 minutes,
comes out, is recorded again, do it until the 6th observer (60 minutes).

Data analysis :
Through the data obtained, the effectiveness of anti-mosquito aromatherapy candles was
analyzed. If there is a reduction in mosquito bites of 75-100% at the end of the
observation then it is effective if it it 50-75% then it it less effective, if it it 25-50% then
it it not effective, if <25% then it is not successful.
