PART I. DISABLE ANTIVIRUS AND FIREWALL
Create new folder on your Windows 10 or Windows 11 desktop (Windows 7 is not supported):

Open Windows Defender and disable protection (if you have other antivirus app, disable there also):

PART II. INSTALLATION
1. Download Featureinstaller APP from MEGA
Open the link https://mega.nz/folder/PQ8ihaSK#mifSYy5C2c3NdTb4D7tfiQ/folder/aVkExahI
and download all the files. FeatureInstaller lets you install and restore to original your BMW
EVO features.

Extract with 7-ZIP app: https://www.7-zip.org/ and launch FeatureInstaller.exe:

2. Prepare the car and connection between laptop and the car.
Plug your ENET cable to the car. Turn IGNITION ON or START the engine.

Go to LAN connections. Set your IPv4 on auto assign IP. ENET cable will auto assign IP..

Make sure Wi-Fi internet connection is available for your laptop.

Turn IGNITION ON or START ENGINE.

3. Install the features

Enter the CODE you received with eBay message or Whats App message:

Press Find Vehicle. Your car VIN should appear if connection to the car is properly set.

Press Identify. Car details will be loaded on the right side of the window.

Press Start.

Bluescreen will appear, no worries, wait untill process is fully finished successfully.

Once process is complete, you can EXIT.

4. Check if new features work
a) Go to Communications > Manage mobile devices > Delete all phones.
b) On your iPhone go to Bluetooth menu and delete the car connection.
c) On iPhone Enable SIRI, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and make sure that your
iPhone is not connected to other Wi-Fi network.
d) Restart your navigation unit by holding down the volume button for
30 seconds.

After restart go to Communication > Manage Mobile Devices > Connect new device > Apple CarPlay:

5. Restore to Original from backup.
Do this before official BMW service appointment, ask if they plan to upgrade your iLevel
version: if NO - SKIP this. If YES - follow the steps:
a) Ignition ON / Start the car
b) Open FeatureInstaller and enter your CODE
c) Find Vehicle > Identify
d) You will be asked if you want to restore from the backup > Choose YES
e) Wait 5-10 min till all 3 phases are finished.
f) Done.

Load new features againiafter the dealer appointment..

PART III. TROUBLESHOOTING / HELPDESK

Q: I cannot pair Carplay, says “Connecting…”

A: Delete all the phones from the iDrive system. Delete the car from iPhone Bluetooth menu. Hold down
the volume button for 30 seconds to restart the system. Make sure that WIFI, Bluetooth and SIRI is
turned on on your iPhone. Make sure you are not on any WIFI network (Carplay needs WIFI from your
phone). Check you see a BMW WIFI network Carplay on you iPhone. Go to Communication > Manage
mobile devices > Add new device > Apple CarPlay and connect your iPhone.
If that does not help 99% that your car is not equipped with WIFI antenna. Just get one and install it.
Do not worry. You can easily find one on your local market. It costs arround 10-15 Euro. It is very easy to
install it. It is plug and play. No coding needed. A 5 minutes job.

Q: While running FeatureInstaller, connection was interrupted, loading was NOT successful, stuck with
bluescreen.
A: Load FeatureInstaller again, when asked if you want to load from backup, choose Yes. Wait till procedure is
finished. Run all procedure again from Step1. Make sure internet connection is stable.

Q: Navigation says “Loading…”, maps do not work

A: Remember FSC_XXXXX file you copied to the safe place? Well you need that now. Get empty USB or
USB with EVO maps, create new folder in USB root directory and name it “FSC”. Copy FSC_XXXXX file
inside the FSC folder. Plug USB to the car and Navigation will be fine.

Q: I cannot watch Youtube videos on Carplay

A: Thanks to Youtube and BMW AG policies, you will not be able to do that. You can only watch MP4 video files
from USB while driving.
