Message from the Organising Committee KOACON 2024
It is indeed a great privilege to invite you to the 48th Annual Conference of
Karnataka Orthopaedic Association-2024 to be held in Shivamogga, the
‘Gateway of Malnad’ from 2nd to 4th of February 2024 at Shivamogga.

As Orthopaedic practice is advancing with incorporation of latest

technical gadgets and nuances in its armoury, there is also a genuine
concern of growing tension between Ethics & Conflict of interest. So, there
is a need to go back to basics of ethical practice to make this world a
better place to live in for both the patients and the practitioners alike. These
concerns are aptly reflected in KOA President’s thematic vision for the year
2023-24 ‘ETHICAL ORTHOPAEDICS, SAFE ORTHOPAEDICS’.

Keeping in continuity the great tradition of KOA Conferences, we promise

to bring learned faculty from across India and world to hold absorbing
lectures, great dialogues and discussions on various specialities along with
workshops aimed at sharpening our clinical and surgical skills.

The Shivamogga Orthopaedic Society (SOS) and the Organising committee

of KOACON-2024 earnestly request all our fellow orthopaedic colleagues
and their families to make it to KOACON-2024 at Shivamogga. We also
request the Ortho faculty in various teaching institutions to encourage
the post graduates to actively participate and make the best use of the
academic sessions.

It will be a wonderful time to meet your beloved friends, teachers and

students alike. Shivamogga will have a pleasant weather during February.
Shivamogga, the heart of Sahyadri Ghats, is a great place to be in to
enjoy great nature including the fascinating Jog Falls, visit sacred temples
like Sringeri, venture into mountainous peaks including Kodachadri heights
and numerous other tourist attractions.

All this combined with the famous Malnad Hospitality & Malnad Cuisines,
we will leave no stone unturned to make your stay here in Shivamogga one
of the best you would have ever experienced.

With Regards
