I am pleased to inform you that, Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha is a deemed to be
university u/s 3 of University Grants Commission Act, 1956 & accredited by NAAC with A Grade. It focuses on
multidisciplinary aspects of professional learning by commitment towards quality teaching and research on contemporary
developments. The University offers Post Doctoral, Doctoral, Post- Graduate and Under Graduate programmes in
Engineering, Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Hospital Administration, Medical, Dental,
Pharmacy, Nursing, Law and Agriculture. Today Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan has emerged as one of the fastest growing
educational hub in the country. A brief profile is attached herewith. The name itself signifies the quest for knowledge that
the University has maintained its benchmark consistently in facilitating the students and faculty to reach at the
pinnacle of knowledge. The School of Hotel Management, Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism Management (FHTM) of the
University has been established in 2004 with the due approval of AICTE. Within this short span, the institute has carved a
niche for itself in the field of Hospitality & Tourism Education, Training, and Research in India. The faculty’s endeavour is to
inculcate a strong sense of value in service that primarily gives confidence to take leadership in the organization, not just by
loving the profession, but also by bringing vibrancy in the hospitality business. In its quest to deliver learning experience,
the institute consciously and constantly endeavours to provide opportunities to gain real life situation; explore out-of-the-
box thinking in the profession, and demonstrate creative skills in the hospitality & tourism business.
Currently, the Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism Management under Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University,
Bhubaneswar, is organizing three days International Conference between 22nd to 24th of April 2022 on the theme
“Trends & Disruptions in Hospitality & Tourism”. This conference is sponsored by the All India Institute of Technical
Education (AICTE), New Delhi, in partnership with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and in
association with Tourism & Hospitality Educators and Research Association of Asia (THERAA). The conference shall
witness many eminent speakers from academics, research & consultancy, government agencies, hospitality & tourism, and
other professionals from allied fields. I am herewith attaching a copy of the brochure for your kind perusal.
The scope of the conference is to provide a common platform of collaboration between different stakeholders of the
hospitality & tourism industry such as leaders from the Hospitality & Tourism Organizations, Policymakers, Academicians,
Research scholars, Students, Professionals, Industry Experts, Service Providers, etc. for brainstorming sessions in order to
discuss the past, present and future of the industry in detail.
In this regard Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State for Education and Hon'ble Minister of
State for External Affairs, Government of India has given his kind consent to be Chief Guest at the inaugural
function. For making this event more fruitful, I would like to request you to make it convenient to grace
the inaugural function as the Guest of Honour on 22nd April 2022 (morning preferably at 11.00am) or alternatively
the valedictory function on 23rd April 2022 (Afternoon preferably at 4:00PM). We are sure that all the participants
at the Conference would be grossly benefitted by your knowledge and wisdom.
