ABOUT AGHAAZ 2K23
Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur (Department Of Management) is organizing AAGHAAZ
2K23 (Inter-College Management Competitions) on 1st and 2nd September 2023 with a
blend of activities, DJ Night, a famous Sufi band and many more fun. 10k+ people are
coming together to share in music, dance and fun.
AGHAAZ, the management fest of VGU, aims to integrate the energies and provide a platform
where different skill will meet execution, wisdom will meet innovation, and collation will meet
value.
Top Colleges like Jaipuria Institute of Management, Manipal University, JECRC, Amity University
and many more from Jaipur, Delhi, Noida, Dehradun and Ajmer are invited to join us in the fest.
Renowned Media Firms like Dainik Bhaskar, Rajasthan Patrika and Sach Bedhadak are also
invited.

Such Management Competitions provide a platform for students to exhibit their managerial
talent by participating in various events crafted to showcase their skills, share their thoughts,
and be part of various activities. It is an amalgamation of various events under the Marketing,
HR, and Finance field to bring out the best in participants under controlled and simulated
environments.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
14th & 15th APRIL, 2023
Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur( Department Of Management) organized its International
Conference On Business Management on the 14th & 15th April, 2023, exploring the relationship between
ancient Indian knowledge systems and modern business management. With a focus on holistic development,
VGU strives to provide its students with a well-rounded education that integrates traditional wisdom with
modern knowledge. Experts from academia, industry, and government sectors shared their insights and
experiences on how the two can complement each other to create a holistic approach to development,
providing students with a unique perspective on the role of ancient Indian knowledge systems in shaping
modern business practices. This enriching experience was not to be missed

PANACHE - 13
19th, 20th & 21st March 2023

VGU's annual cultural festival, PANACHE '13, concluded on a high note on the 21st of March, 2023. The three-
day festival, which began on the 19th of March, 2023, was a resounding success and was attended by a large
number of students, faculty members, and other dignitaries. One of the main highlights of the festival was the
Dream Note band's performance and mesmerizing performance by the popular singer and songwriter, Shirley
Setia. Thousands of students cheered rapturously as Setia and the band enthralled the crowd with their top-notch
performance PANACHE '13 provided a platform for students from various academic streams to showcase their
talents in various fields. The fest saw a wide variety of events. Events in the fest were full of performances by
different departments of the university, in which the cultural diversity of the country was showcased as the
students, clad in ethnic dresses, exhibited their artistic skills. The members of the faculty also took part in the
ethnic walk-in, wearing attire from different states.
There were over 40 events in which students and faculty could take part. Trophies were given to the winners in
different categories like the Overall Rolling Trophy, Best Ethnic Team, Highest Participation, Best Cheerleader,
Best Discipline, and 9 Best Category Trophies, as well as cash prizes worth INR 1,54,000. It was a great chance for
the students to unleash their passion and creativity. Fashion gives meaning to ethnicity, and ethnicity gives us an
identity. There was a special Ethnic Day on March 17 that was packed with a number of exciting events. There
were a number of competitions like photography, vlogging, dance, music, a fashion walk, traditional eateries, etc.
On Ethnic Day, students from Nepal, Sudan, and various Indian states represented their countries. There were
different types of dance too, like classical, folk, western,and dance battle. There was a tough competition for music,
too. There were different genres of music, like rap, classical, the war of the DJs, etc. PANACHE '13 was a
testament to the commitment of Vivekananda Global University towards the holistic development of its students.
The festival provided a platform for students to explore their interests, develop their skills, and gain exposure to a
wide range of academic, professional, and cultural experiences.

EVENTWISE RULES AND REGULATIONS (DAY-1)
EVENT 1: Business Plan ( NextGen Planners)

1st september 2023 | 10:00am onwards


No. of Participants: Min. 1 and Max. 4
Themes: Each team will be given a topic on the spot on which they’ve to prepare a roadmap of Business
Plan via. Presentation. The plan should include Market Research and Environment, and SWOT Analysis.

Time Limit:
• 90 Minute to prepare presentation
• 5 minute to present final presentation

Rules and Regulations:


• The participants interested will have to fill a registration form.
• The team will have to prepare presentation within 1hr30mins.
• Team will get 5 mins of time to present, after 5 mins marks will be deducted.

Criteria for Judging:


• Presentation Marks.
• Relevance of the Planning Idea.
• Innovation of the Idea.
• Business Model.
• Market Validation and Traction.
• Presentation Judged by Juries

• Violation of eligibility criteria.

EVENT 2: Debate Competition ( Vichar Munch)

Theme:
Topics are related to management concepts, theories, and current issues in the business world.
Time Limit:
Each speaker has 5 minutes for their opening statement, 3 minutes for rebuttal, and 2 minutes for a
closing statement.
Moderator: A neutral moderator will keep track of time, enforce rules, and ensure fair play.
Opening Statements: Each team presents their arguments, outlining their stance and key points
related to the topic.
Rebuttals: After the opening statements, teams have the opportunity to challenge and counter their
opponents’ arguments.

Rules and Regulations:


Speakers must maintain professionalism and respect throughout the debate, avoiding personal
attacks or offensive language.
Business attire is recommended for all participants.
The competition may include a Q&A session where judges and the audience can pose questions to
the debaters.
Teams must refrain from any form of cheating, collusion, or any behaviour that compromises the
integrity of the competition.
In case of a tie, judges may ask impromptu questions to determine the winner.

Criteria for Judgement:


A panel of judges, comprising of management experts and academics, will evaluate the debates based
on content, presentation, rebuttals, and teamwork.
All arguments must be supported by relevant and credible sources. Plagiarism will lead to
disqualification.
Judges will assign scores for each team based on clarity of argument, use of evidence, persuasiveness,
and effective communication.
Teams must adhere to the specified time limits. Points may be deducted for exceeding time.
All participants will receive constructive feedback from the judges to help improve their debating
skills.
Speakers should engage with the audience, responding to queries and involving them in the
discussion.

EVENT 3: Poster Making ( Rangkosh)

Theme: How Glass Ceiling Impact Businesses, Importance of Vaccination How to handle peer pressure to
tackle addictions, Best gift ever- Be an Organ Donor, Sustainable Future-Digital India, Digital
empowerment of citizens.
Time Limit: 100 min (10 min break included)
• Time allotted: 90 Minutes, there will be 10 min break after first 45 min.
Rules and Regulations:
• Students should carry their University ID Cards with them at the venue of the competition.
• Drawing sheet should be of A3 size.
• The Painting should be original and have not been published elsewhere.
• The participants will carry their own water bottle, drawing and painting material and rough cloth for
cleaning.
• Students are allowed to use any type of colours except spray colours.
Criteria for Judgement: Evaluation will be based on the theme, quality, difficulty of work, its artistic value
and overall presentations. The final score will be the average of the Judges evaluation.

EVENT 4: SKIT Competition (Natyakul)

Theme: Management (ethical, mythological, movie scene, T.V., series scene, any self-made scripts.)
Time Limit: 15 min maximum.

Rules and Regulations:


• Report the venue on time before performance.
• Using inappropriate-abusive dialogues are prohibited.
• Background music is allowed but if any technical issue arises marks is to be deducted.

Criteria for Judgement:


• Message, costumes, acting, Creativity, story-line (self- arrangements)

EVENT 5: Freehand Sketching

Time Limit: Participants will have 1hr30mins to complete their sketch.
Rules and regulations:
Participants can use any medium of their choice, such as pencil, charcoal, pen or markers.
Participants must carry their own materials.
The competition committee reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates the rules.
Criteria for judgement:
A panel of judges will selected to evaluate the sketches based on the criteria of creativity, Technical skills and
expression of the theme.
There should be interpretation and clarity of the theme.
The top three winners will receive prizes.

EVENT 6: Face Painting ( PaintersGig)

Theme:
• Freedom

Time Limit: 75 mins.
Rules and Regulations:
• It is a team event. There can be only 2 participants in a team.
• Participants should bring their own colours, brushes etc.
• Topic will be given on the spot.
• The painting must not extend down the neck.
• The hair may be clipped or pinned back from the face to fully expose the painted area.
Criteria for Judgement:
• Participants will be judged on the basis of creativity, innovation and design.
• Decision of the judges will be final and binding.
• The painting should be completed in the given time period.

EVENT 7: BEST OUT OF WASTE

No. of Participants: Min. & Max. 2 Participants

Rules and Regulations:

• The competition is open to all students.

• It is a group activity comprising of 2 members.

• Participants have to carry waste materials which has to be transformed to a utility-based item, and all

needed items (cutting items, decorative items, adhesives like glue, cello tapes, etc.)

Time limit: Participants will be given a specific time to create their project, typically 1hr30mins.

Judging Criteria: Projects will be judged on the following criteria:

• Creativity

• Functionality

• Implementing sustainable elements in the creation

• Judges’ decision will be final decision

Participants will have a brief opportunity to present their project to the judges.

Prize will be awarded to the best project.

Registration Fees: Rs.300/-

NOTE:

Reduce, reuse, and recycle: The participants should reduce, reuse, and recycle waste materials. Also focus on

the waste management.

EVENT 8: Ad mad show (The Ad-vengers)

Theme of the Activity:

a. Student survival kit

b. Mental health

c. Zero waste living

d. Each one teach one

Purpose of Judgement: Creative and innovative ideas

Time Limit: 2 hours 30 minutes

Reason for disqualification:

a. Ad beyond the time limit

b. Participants should not copy each other content otherwise both are disqualified

c. Only original or self-developed contents are allowed

Rules and regulations:

a. It is a team event. Each team should have 3-6 members only.

b. You can make advertisement either in animated form or real-life videography.

c. Team will be provided 2hr30mins of time to create, innovate and wrap up their advertisement.

d. Team can make Advertisement for up to 3 minutes. Marks will be deducted for ads less than 1min30sec and

more than 3mins.

e. The advertisement should be in relevance to the topic given.

f. Each team will have the opportunity to present their ad to the audience and a panel of judges. Awards will be

presented based on creativity, messaging, execution, and presentation quality.

EVENT 9 : "Minute to Win It" (Just in a Minute 'JAM')

Theme of the activity: Each participant will be given a topic on-the-spot, with no preparation time. Topics would be
picked by the participants from a bowl of chits.
Purpose of judgement: The participants will be judged based on following criteria’s-
a. Clarity and Coherence
b. Fluency
c. Vocabulary and Language Use
d. Content
e. Confidence and Poise
f. Relevance to the Topic
g. Time Management
Time limit: 1 Minute
Reason for disqualification:
a. The buzzer will be pressed twice. Once when 45 seconds have passed and second at the end of one minute,
signalling the participants that their turn is over. If participant exceeds this time limit he/she shall be disqualified.
b. Making personal attacks, using offensive language, or engaging in any form of derogatory speech can result in
disqualification.
c. Any content that is offensive, inappropriate, or goes against the guidelines of the activity can lead to immediate
disqualification.
d. Participants must stick to the topic given to them. Deviating from the topic or speaking about unrelated matters
can lead to disqualification.

Basic Rules and regulations:
a. Only one member from each team can participate in JAM.
b. Each participant will be given a topic on-the-spot, with no preparation time and the speaking time shall be of 1

e. You have to speak on a given topic for one minute without stopping.
f. You cannot repeat the same word or phrase more than once, except for common words like articles,

opinions.
h. You cannot hesitate or pause for too long. You have to keep talking until the time is up.

• Maintain the core Idea: Make sure the rewritten punch line captures the original joke’s concept or surprise.

• Simplify and Clarify: Simplify the language if necessary, so the punch line remains clear and understandable.

• Keeping Timing in Mind: The timing of delivery is crucial in humour. Ensure the new punch line still has the right

rhythm and timing.

• Cultural Awareness: Be Mindful of cultural references or wordplay that might not translate well in different original.

• Test the Reaction: Gauge the audience’s response to see if the new punch line is as effective as the original.

Remember, humor is subjective, so there’s room for experimentation. Feel free to play around with wording and

structure until you find a reframe that works well.

Time Limit: Participant will get around 15-30 seconds to read and comprehend each question, depending on the
complexity of the question.

Collection of questions-
• 20 questions easy (Round 1)
• 40 questions moderate (round 2)
• 15 question difficult (round 3)

Rules and Regulations:


• Violation of rules cheating or use of inappropriate language lead to disqualification of the team.
• The decision of the quiz master will be the final and will not be subjected to any change.
• The participations shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments during the quiz time.
• Candidates unable to give answer will get point one deducted from their team.
• Audience supporters shall not give any hints or closed to the competitors.
• Each round will be based upon various areas related with commerce and Management.

• The names and affiliations of all authors should be clearly mentioned. Presenting authors may be required to be present at the event.

EVENT 13: Treasure Hunt

No. of Participants: Min. 4 and Max. 6

Theme:

• Pursuit of hidden treasure.

• The treasure hunt consists of 5 stages of clues leading to the ultimate treasure location.

Time Limit: 2hr30mins

Rules and Regulations:

• Registration can be done online or at a designated registration desk.

• Team must choose a unique and creative group name during registration.

• The treasure hunt will take place within the designated area on the university campus.

• The event coordinator has right to make any necessary changes to the rule or format.

• Participant must respect the campus environment and facilities.

• Every team member must be present in the selfie.

• Team must not interfere with other team or team with clue placement.

• Cheating or disrespectful behavior is strictly prohibited and may lead to immediate disqualification.

Criteria for Judgement:

• Game format: Coordinator will give you the first clue. You have to solve the first clue and take selfie with the

treasure (the faces of all your team member should be visible in the selfie) and then meet the coordinator for the

next clue. Solve the next clue you have to take selfie and come to coordinator for next clue. In the fourth stage you

will find a clue card for the final stage. In final stage there will be three flags, whichever team brings the flag that

team are the winners. (According to the sequence of the flag the position will be decided.)

• In final stage there will be three flags the team which bring the flag first will win. (According to the sequence of

the flag).

EVENT 14: Creative Desgining

Reason for disqualification: Violation of rules, cheating, or proper code of conduct should lead to elimination of

candidate.

Rules and regulations:

a. The decision of creative design master will be final and not be subjected for any change.

b. The participants should bring their mobile phones or any other electronic devices which are helpful in creative

design.

c. Replacement of any candidate should not be done after registration process.

d. The design should be based on given themes

e. The design should not be copied from anyone and subject to intellectual property.

f. Candidate will be given limited time for presentation.

Theme: Graffiti on Impact of Technology.
Judging Criteria:
• The art should be neat and clean and well presented.
• The art should be based on given theme.
Time limit: 1 hour
Rules and Regulations:
1. The art must reflect the given theme for public display.
2. The art must be appropriate for visitors of all ages.
3. Use of foul language is prohibited.
4. Use of blood or gory imagery is prohibited.
5. All the material required for the competition (example: colour, sprays, etc.) should be brought by participants.
Disqualification:
• Violation of eligible criteria.
• Using offensive or discriminatory language or imagery.
• Breaking any other rules or regulations of the competition.

EVENT 16: Ad Selfie ( Shutter Charm)

Theme of the Activity- “Hidden Gems” (Discover the beautiful spots/capture the campus pride/ showcase iconic
spots/snap the essence of college life in campus)
Purpose of Judgement- Only ONE Ad Selfie with Less Editing and Good Tagline.
Time Limit - 1 hour
Reason for Disqualification -
• Using filters or excessive editing,
• Submitting someone else's photo,
• Inappropriate content,
• Not adhering to the theme or guidelines provided by the competition organizers.
Confidentiality- No one can disclose their selfie to others.
Basic Rules-
• Participants from the colleges have to register in advance for the event.
• Each Participant has to carry Id-Card during the activity.
• Participants have to report to the event coordinator at least half an hour before the scheduled time.
• All entries will be judged based on Creativity, Clarity and Originality.
• Any clarification regarding the rules of the event has to be made before the event starts.

EVENT 17: Campus Reels Making Competition

Theme of the activity: Any educational/exploratory/innovative topic will be given on the spot.
Purpose of judgement:
1. Winners will be decided on the basis of originality, creativity, quality, number of profile visits, the number of
likes and comments received on their post.
2. The decision of the Judging panel will be final.
Time limit: 1 hour
Reason for disqualification:
a. Not reporting on time.
b. We reserve the right to bar Entries for containing any infringing, threatening, misleading, false, abusive,
harassing, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, inflammatory, scandalous, pornographic or profane content.
Confidentiality: The participants must bring their valid college id card along with the following details:

Basic Rules and regulations:
• The reel must be an original creation, educational and exploratory.
• Any offensive, name-calling, derogatory remarks, and/or regional slang towards any person or community
should not be used.
• The video should not exceed 90 seconds.
• The Competition is open to all students from all Institute.
• Individual, as well as group entries (not more than 4 people), are allowed.
• The submissions of reel should be either in English or in Hindi.
• The video should be made in portrait mode.
• Soothing/mellow music may use in the reels.

EVENT 18: Case Analysis

Number of participants: Minimum 2 & Maximum 4


Theme: Artificial Intelligence in Education
Purpose of Judgement: All teams will give presentation of their
case analysis and recommendations to a panel of judges and there will be question and answer period
following each presentation.
Time Limit: Presentation Round - 10 minutes
Question & Answer Round - 5 minutes
Reason for Disqualification: Teams are prohibited from securing inputs or feedback from any individual who
is not eligible to compete.
Basic rules:
I. All teams will participate in the preliminary round. [No. of slides - 3 to 4]
II. The winning team will advance to the final round. [No. of slides - 10 to 12]
III. Formal attire is required for all presenting teams.
IV. Teams are expected to conduct any and all necessary research through publically available resources.

EVENT 19: Food Without Flame

No. of Participants- Minimum & Maximum of 2 Participants

Time limit- Only 45 minutes will be provided to the teams to complete their dishes.
Disqualification- Participants will be disqualified from the activity if they are found to have plagiarized their idea,
or if they violate any of the other rules and regulations.

Confidentiality- Participants must keep all information about the activity confidential until the event is over.

Theme- It totally depends upon your ideas and your comfortability.

Criteria of judgement- Evaluation will be based on the taste of the dish, cleanliness and presentation, nutritional
level, and unique name of the dish.

Rules and Regulations:


a. Participants should not bring any pre-cooked items.
b. Pre-registration mandatory
c. All the items required for cooking should be brought by the participants themselves, including water (only
working table will be provided).
d. Dishes should be purely vegetarian.
e. Participants should not bring any chopped or grated raw material. They should process it on the spot within
the allotted time.
f. Participants can bring non-electronic equipment like mixer, chopper, juicer, grater etc.,
g. No one other than the team can help in between the competition.

EVENT 20: Ideathon

No. of Participants: Teams must consist of minimum number of 1 and maximum of 6 members.

Theme: The theme for “ideathon” will be related to management. This could be anything from innovation in
business models to solving real-world management challenges.

Time Limit: Each participant will have a time limit of 15 minutes to present their ideas. Please ensure that they
stay within this timeframe to keep the event on schedule.

Judging Criteria:
a. Language and Communication: Language of presentation need to be clear, concise, and engaging. The
presenters should get to the point quickly and avoid rambling. They should also use visuals to help illustrate
their points and make their presentations more engaging.
b. Originality: Emphasize the importance of original ideas. The ideas should be original and not copied from
existing sources. Participants should avoid submitting ideas that have already been implemented or widely
discussed.
c. Innovativeness: The degree to which the idea is new and original.
d. Feasibility: The likelihood that the idea can be implemented successfully.
e. Impact: The potential impact that the idea could have on society.

Disqualification: Prohibit plagiarism and make it clear that all ideas must be the original work of the
participants. Participants will be disqualified from Ideathon if they are found to have plagiarized their idea, or if
they violate any of the other rules and regulations.

Basic Rules and Regulations:


a. You have to follow the theme or the problem statement given by the organizer. You have to research and
understand the problem, identify the target audience, analyze the existing solutions and gaps, and come up with
an original and feasible idea that addresses the problem.
b. You have to present your idea in a clear and convincing manner, using appropriate tools and formats. You
may have to use slides, posters, prototypes, demos or other methods to showcase your idea and its benefits.
c. You have to adhere to the time limit and the evaluation criteria set by the organizer. You may have to face
questions from the judges or the audience about your idea and its implementation.
d. You have to respect the intellectual property rights of others and avoid plagiarism or copying of ideas. You
have to acknowledge the sources of information and inspiration that you used for your idea.
