Rank of matrix by elementary transformation (Echelon and Normal form); Inverse of the matrix
by Gauss-Jordan’s method; Consistency of linear system of equations (Homogeneous and Non-
homogeneous); Eigen values and Eigen vectors; Cayley-Hamilton theorem with applications;
Reduction of a matrix to diagonal form. [8Hrs]

Course Outcome:
CO1: Apply the concept of Rank of Matrices and Cayley-Hamilton Theorem on problems of
linear equations. Implement the concept of Eigen values and vectors in Engineering problems.
