Advertising as an Art

In my opinion, Art is an expression of creativity and imagination, whereas

commercials are a means of communication. In the same way that art can be
viewed as a mirror of oneself through the concepts one portrays, commercials
can be viewed as a reflection of the features of a product one want to promote.

An advertising requires almost as much originality as any other type of art. An

advertisement requires the same level of thought and work as any other type of
art but Advertising is not an art form. It comprises commercial visual arts that are
used for a specific goal, such as building brand relationships, driving demand, or
getting people to take action. However, there is a grey area in that advertising
relies on astute aesthetic choices to do this, which prompts some to consider it
art.
Although art and advertising are completely distinct, there is a place where they
intersect. That is the location of creativity. Art and advertising are brought
together mostly via inventiveness. Creativity is the foundation of any art form,
and this is true for commercials as well. To some extent, advertisements and art
are means of reaching out to people.
