Track 9

Adam : Linda! Put away your clothes before you go. And make your bed!
Linda: Stop telling me what to do, Adam! You’re so bossy!
Adam : And you’re the messiest person I know!
Linda: No, I’m not.
Adam : Yes, you are. You didn’t make your bed yesterday or the day before. And you lose your things all the
time.
Linda: No, I don’t.
Adam : Yes, you do. When you went to Italy with your class, you lost your hairdryer … no, I’m wrong, it wasn’t
your hairdryer, it was your electric toothbrush. How can you lose a toothbrush?
Linda: I didn’t lose it! I left it at the hotel. Now I need to buy a new one.
Adam : Are you going to the department store?
Linda: Yes, I am.
Adam : Can you buy me a USB stick?
Linda: How much are USB sticks?
Adam : They aren’t expensive. They’re on special offer this week. They were £6.99, but now they’re £4.99.
Linda: Oh, I don’t have enough money to pay in cash and I can’t pay by card because, well, I can’t find it.
Adam : I can give you some money … and don’t forget to get a receipt. Oh! And please buy a newspaper for
Mum.
Linda: At the newsagent’s?
Adam : Yes, you know, the one next to the sports shop.
Linda: Oh, all right.
Adam: Thanks.
