- 0:30:00 11:30:00 Finalists have to be at the Preparation Area! ISSF Rule 6.17.1.3

Team Leaders are responsible for presenting their Finalists to the Preparation Area, and report to the Jury at least 30 minutes
before the scheduled Finals Start Time, complete with all their shooting equipment needed for the Finals.
Finalists must report with their equipment, competition clothing and a national team uniform that may be worn in the Victory
Ceremony. Finalists must be dressed and have only the required shooting equipment. Jury Members and Range Officers must
complete their pre-competition checks and trigger weighting in the Preparation Area during this period.
Neither rifle cases nor equipment containers may be left on the Finals range Field of Play (FOP) behind the firing line.
Equipment Set-Up Time: Finalists or Finalist’s coaches must be allowed to place rifles and equipment on the firing points not less
than 20 minutes before the scheduled Finals Start Time.
Finalists must be ready to walk in BEFORE the command "ATHLETES TO THE LINE". An assistant must make sure, that
Finalists are assembled in the correct order, and must give a sign when the Chief Range Officer (CRO) commands:

Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome our athletes!
Finalists must be allowed to occupy their assigned firing points, move their equipment to their firing points and handle their rifles
16 minutes before the scheduled Finals Start Time by commanding "ATHLETES TO THE LINE". Rifle cases and equipment bags
or boxes may not left behind the firing line on the Finals range FOP. Aiming exercises may be done during the Equipment Set-Up
Time. Dry firing or loading is not permitted until the Preparation and Sighting Time starts.
After two (2) minutes, the CRO will command:

Athletes may remain in position, but turn heads and faces towards spectators!

During the Preparation and Sighting Time, Finalists may fire unlimited sighting shots. No score announcements are made during
sighting shots. After the commands "STOP … UNLOAD", Finalists must unload their rifles and insert safety flags for the
presentation of Finalists. A Range Officer must verify that rifle actions are open with safety flags inserted.
Finalists may remain in position during the presentation, but they must lower their rifles from their shoulders and are expected to
turn their heads and faces towards spectators and the TV cameras. All Finalists rifles must remain down, out of their shoulder,
until the presentation of ALL Finalists is finished.

the Jury Member-in-Charge and the Chief Range Officer.
Immediately after the presentation, the CRO will command:

- 0:01:00 11:59:00 Announce Brief Explanation of the Finals
The targets and scoreboard must be cleared.
After 60 seconds, the CRO will command:

After 5 seconds, the CRO will command:

After 150 seconds, or after all Finalists have fired three (3) shots, the CRO will command:

Announce Immediately after the command "STOP", the Announcer will give 15-20 seconds of comments on the
current ranking of the Finalists and notable scores. Individual shot scores are not announced.
Immediately after the Announcer finishes, the CRO will command for the next series.
Command FOR THE NEXT COMPETITION SERIES ... LOAD
After 5 seconds, the CRO will command:

After 150 seconds, or after all Finalists have fired three (3) shots, the CRO will command:

Announce
Immediately after the command "STOP", the Announcer will give again 15-20 seconds of comments on
the current ranking of the Finalists and notable scores. Individual scores are not announced.
Also the Announcer will explain that single shots will now begin and, that after each second single shot,
the lowest ranking Finalist will be eliminated.

Immediately after the Announcer finishes, the CRO will command for the next shot.
Command FOR THE NEXT COMPETITION SHOT … LOAD
After 5 seconds, the CRO will command:

Immediately after the command "STOP", the Announcer will give again 15-20 seconds of comments on
the current ranking of the Finalists and notable scores. Individual scores are not announced. Also the
Announcer will indicate who will probably be eliminated after the next single shot.

Immediately after the Announcer finishes, the CRO will command for the next shot.
Command FOR THE NEXT COMPETITION SHOT … LOAD
After 5 seconds, the CRO will command:

After 50 seconds, or after all Finalists have fired one (1) shot, the CRO will command:

Announce
Immediately after the command "STOP", the Announcer will congratulate the eliminated Finalist for his
place and that he has to go out. The Announcer will give again 15-20 seconds of comments on the
current ranking of the remaining Finalists and notable scores. Individual scores are not announced.
Also the Announcer will indicate who will probably be eliminated next.

This sequence will continue until all 20 shots are fired.

After eight (8) shots, the lowest ranking Finalist is eliminated (8th place). Elimination continues as follows:
After 10 shots – 7th place; After 12 shots – 6th place; After 14 shots – 5th place; After 16 shots – 4th place
After 18 shots – 3rd place (Bronze medal winner is decided)
After 20 shots – 2nd and 1st places (Silver and Gold medal winners are decided).
When a Finalist is eliminated, he must unload his rifle, insert safety flag, lay it down and step back from the firing point. A Range
Officer must verify that rifle action is open with safety flags inserted.

FINALS COMPLETION
After the 20th shot, the CRO will command:
Command STOP … UNLOAD
If there are no ties and no protests, the CRO will immediately declare:
Declare RESULTS ARE FINAL
PRESENTATION OF MEDALISTS
The Announcer will immediately recognize the Gold, Silver and Bronze medal winner.
THE GOLD MEDAL WINNER, REPRESENTING (NATION), IS (NAME).
THE SILVER MEDAL WINNER, REPRESENTING (NATION), IS (NAME).
THE BRONZE MEDAL WINNER, REPRESENTING (NATION), IS (NAME).
TIE- BREAKING
If there is a tie for the lowest ranking Finalist to be eliminated, the tied Finalists will fire additional tie-breaking single shots until
the tie is broken. For the tie-breaking shot, the CRO will immediately announce the family names of the tied Finalists and
command them to fire the tie-breaking shots with the normal firing procedure.
The Announcer will make no comments until the tie is broken.
Command There is a tie for the lowest ranking Finalist to be eliminated.
The next Command is for (Family Name) and (...) … ONLY:
FOR THE SHOOT-OFF SHOT … LOAD … START … STOP … UNLOAD
MALFUNCTION (ISSF Rule 6.17.1.6)

If a Finalist has an ALLOWABLE MALFUNCTION (ISSF Rule 6.13.2) during a single shot, a maximum of one (1) minute will be
given to repair the malfunction or replace the rifle, after which he will be directed to repeat the shot.
If a Finalist claims an ALLOWABLE MALFUNCTION in a 3-shot or 5-shot series and the malfunction can be repaired or the rifle
replaced within one (1) minute, any shots fired in that series will be counted and he will be permitted to continue the series with
additional time equal to the time required to repair the malfunction, but not exceeding one (1) minute.
In case of any EST malfunction, the CRO must wait until the Technical Officer in charge will advice him. No announcement until
the situation is solved.
If a Finalist is unable to fire a shot (malfunction or overtime), the CRO must use the Pellet Discharge Cylinder (PDC).

The Finals of the 10m Air Rifle Men Event consists of two series of three shots, each fired in a time of
150 seconds per series. This is followed by fourteen single shots, each fired on command in a time of 50
seconds.
Eliminations of the lowest ranking Finalist begin after the 8th shot, so after the first two single shots, and
continue after every two single shots until the Bronze medal (after 18 shots) and Silver and Gold medals
(after 20 shots) are decided.
If there is a tie for the lowest ranking Finalist to be eliminated, the tied Finalists will fire additional tie-
breaking single shots until the tie is broken.
