Q1) Please describe the plan of action for today’s field visit. (Date and time, Objectives,
Goals, Purpose of your visit)
Answer-
• Date & time of visit – 25th February 2024 at 2:30 PM
• Place of Visit – Kunnathur
• Objectives: Meet with women's self-help groups in villages and learn about KY students'
previous activities. Understanding their pain points and how to help them overcome
them.
• Goals: Study, explore, create, and innovate on available resources in villages to provide
livelihood skills to women.
• Purpose of visit-To identify areas where we can assist them.

Q2) Please describe the activities done to complete the action plan. (Work done in the field)
Answer-
Our plan for the day was to meet with the women's self-help groups, but we were once again
unable to do so. Instead of teaching children, we decided to conduct a pilot survey in the village
to better understand the residents' financial health and knowledge. We created a questionnaire
with nine questions and interviewed individuals (men and women from eight different
households). We made sure to interview people who were willing to speak with us and provide
additional information.
Q3) What did you observe today and would like to implement in your next field visit? (Next
level of action)
Answer-
Many households have multiple bank accounts, with some having up to five. Each household
has a diverse range of occupations, including farming, electricians, Great Lakes staff, and factory
workers. All interviewed individuals lived in their own homes on their own land, with the
exception of one who rented a space. Most people have bank accounts with Canara Bank,
followed by Indian Bank. Digital banking was not a common concept. During our next field
visit, we hope to offer personal finance classes to those who are interested and teach them about
digital banking.
Q4) What is the learning outcome from this field visit? (Lessons learned.)
Answer-
Most people have bank accounts but have no idea what digital banking is. Banking has spread
throughout the country, empowering people significantly.
