At ‘Plaatjesmakers Amsterdam’ we are looking for a new intern!

We can guarantee a safe work distance since we are a two person company with a spacious
studio space.

About us:
We are Plaatjesmakers, situated on the edge of Amsterdam working towards new innovations
in the field of plastic waste streams. We are a design agency focused on the creation of
interior and furniture design made with inhouse recycled plastic sheets. Through
craftsmanship and engineering Mark and Thomas, two dutch guys, pave the way towards
100% recycled plastic design.

What will I do in this internship, what will I learn?

● Practical experience with metal crafting techniques, e.g. Welding
● The ins and outs of “how to business your design”
● Design and prototyping of furniture design
● Optimisation of production techniques and running production
● Contributing to machine design
● Interior planning of our design studio
● 3d modelling
● Execution of custom design projects of our clients
● Material research in the field of thermoplastics and its history
● Participation in event and marketing campaigns

Who are we looking for?

● You have an eye for detail
● You have an independent and proactive work attitude
● You know how to work with 3d modelling software
● You have experience in the workshop
● You have a feel for aesthetics
● You are not afraid to visit partners and pickup the phone

Start : august/september

● Product photography
● Visual Content creation and editing
● Corporate branding and positioning
● Video content creation and editing
● The ins and outs of “how to business your design”
● Social media outlet and online advertisement
● 3d design for online branding
● Execution of custom design projects for our clients
● Introduction to the world of thermoplastics and its history
● Maintaining a webshop, its logistics, up to date sustainable packaging
● Interior planning of our design studio

Who are we looking for?

● You have an eye for detail
● You have an Independent and proactive work attitude
● You have a feel for copywriting
● You are familiar with the Adobe suite
● You are not afraid to visit partners and pickup the phone
● Fluent in English
