The line graph compares the amount of U.S government money spent on health,
space, energy, general science and others, from 1980 to 2008.

Overall, it can easily be seen that how much money spent on health, space,
energy, general science all increased, except for others. Besides, the figure for
health was the highest over the period shown.

In 1980, spending on health was the highest at 8 billion, which was 2.5 billion
higher than that of general science. From 1980 to 2000, the figure for spending on
health increased significantly to 23 billion in 2000. Besides, spending in general
slightly increased at 5 billion in 2000, before remaining the same in the last years.

In 1980, money spent on others was the highest at 7.5 billion, followed by space
and energy with 6 billion and 5 billion respectively. From 1980 to 2008 money
spent on space at 9 billion and then energy at 6.5, fluctuated and increased.
Besides, money spent on others was fluctuating, others still increased to 5 billion.
