REMINDERS:

a. A personalized LOI is the way to go.

Generic LOIs show a vast skill set, but most of the time, this just overwhelms the client when they
review your VA Packet. In contrast, LOIs written in direct response to what the client needs are more
targeted and easier to review.
b. Indicate your availability
Each job description contains the client's work schedule - so as you compose your LOI, please mention
your availability as well. This will indicate a solid commitment to work for the client.
c. Use the Skill Keywords on the job description
Before creating your LOI, review the details of the job. Use the Skill Keywords to target the skills the
client needs. By reviewing these, you’ll be able to create an LOI that’s interesting to the client.
d. Highlight your skills that are related to the job opening.
Putting emphasis where it’s needed is always a good practice. Being specific with the skills that you have
conveys an understanding of the job description. By indicating those on your LOI, it tells the client that
you are ready to take on the job.
e. Talk about past work experiences where you gained relevant skills.
The client would also like to validate how you learned the skills you mentioned. Take this as the avenue
for letting the client know your competencies as you work for them.
f. DELETE this page once you’re done formatting your resume and save as WORD DOC file
