2 1000 Base-SX/LX/BX SFP interfaces (Port-9 and Port-10)
Compatible with 100 Base-FX SFP
Management Web Browser, SNMP, QoS
Input Voltage DC 12 to 48V

The VCR LAN cabinet will contain four PLANET IGS-10020MT switches which are connected via fiber
optic to the four ACAMS rack switches.

3.2.1.2 Planet IGS-5225-4T2S

PLANET IGS-5225-4T2S, the smallest fully managed Gigabit fiber switch for harsh environments,
features 4 10/100/1000Mbps copper ports, 2 100/1000X SFP ports and redundant power system in an
IP30 rugged but compact-sized case. The IGS-5225-4T2S can be installed in any difficult environment
as it can operate stably under the temperature range from -40 to 75 degrees C. With such a slim
enclosure, it does not need a big space to install. The switch features user-friendly yet advanced
IPv6/IPv4 management interfaces, abundant L2/L4 switching functions and Layer 3 static routing
capability. It allows either DIN-rail or wall mounting for efficient use of cabinet space. With 2 dual-speed
SFP fiber slots, it can be flexibly applied to extend the connection distance.

24VDC Power Supply: Omron S8VK-G03024

Voice detectors, Moxa I / O unit and relays on PCB card depends on 24V DC supply. Therefore, it is
mounted an 230AC / 24DC power supply to Switchover Unit. It is only installed one unit of this that get
power from Power 2 supply. If this breaks an alarm in the ATIS status panel is given. The audio will
continue to be sent towards the radio from ATIS Server 1, but switchover functionality will not work.

Figure 3-47: 24VDC Power Supply

VoIP Decoder: Barix Exstreamer P5

This is a generic VoIP decoder for IP connectivity and applications where you advertise or broadcast
sound. This converts the signal sent via Ethernet from servers to Switchover Unit to analogue audio. It
is used two units, one for each server for redundancy.

5.11 ATIS
5.11.1 HMI
The system includes an ATIS module providing the facility to automatically generate voice messages
from a text input for transmission on VHF radio. The data is received from external sources such as
AMHS or AFTN. The message format can be IA-5 or ITA-2.
The received data (e.g. METAR, MET Report if available) is automatically inserted in the ATIS message.
The voice messages are generated in English and Portuguese.
The system includes facilities to log incoming and outgoing messages and to make these messages
available over the network.
The screen layout is shown below:

5.12 TCMS
5.12.1 HMI
The TCMS HMI provides the operator with an overview of the technical status of the monitored systems
and equipment in real time. With a single glance at the main overview, the operator will be able to
evaluate and assess the technical condition of the systems.
All status changes of monitored systems and operator actions are logged into databases, which allows
for detailed historical data which in turn can be used to give important information about system
reliability and to help airport personnel to take correct decisions with regards to maintenance and
corrective actions.
The module can be run from the server’s terminal in the technical room or from the VCR SUP position.
An example of TCMS HMI Main View is shown below:
