Group Project and Mini-Test

Group Project („TED-Talk“)


• Completion is absolutely mandatory (for good grades; it is advisable not to substitute this with
the voluntary assignment).
• Groups between 4-6 students
• Each student must speak for the same amount of time, up to a maximum of 3 minutes (not
longer!)
• Your work should be based on at least one of the topics we covered in the lectures
• All forms of presentations are allowed: PowerPoint presentations, use of short video files, some
form of interaction between presenters, etc.
• Main requirement: Be creative and capture our attention, for example, with a provocative
statement or a surprising hypothesis.
• Additional requirement: Base your statement on well-researched and reliable information, and
include your sources in the presentation.
• Students enrolled in BWET will present on Thursday, 11/04 (morning and afternoon sessions).
Students enrolled in OPPE will present on Tuesday, 09/04 (afternoon session) and Wednesday,
10/04 (morning session).
Mini-Test
• Participation is absolutely mandatory (for good grades; it is advisable
not to substitute this with the voluntary assignment).
• Length of assignment: 20 minutes
• No materials allowed (closed book exam)
• Single-choice questions
• Covers all three readings and all the topics we discussed in the
lectures
