• Wk 5 - No classes MON/TUES [cup w/end] - EXAMS BEGIN for Year 11s


Oral Presentation
• Students to select an issue for their
speech; this must meet the criterion of having
appeared in the Australian media since 1
September, 2014
• Speeches are to be 3-5 minutes in length.
• Students permitted to use max. 5 palm cards
with max. 5 dot-points each per card.
Issues
• Capital punishment should be legal in Australia
• Abortion should be illegal in Australia
• More Asylum Seekers should be welcomed
into Australia
• Euthanasia
• Australia should legalize gay marriage
• Legalization of marijuana
• Violent offenders - early parole
• Tougher laws on terrorism
• Increased firm arm control reduces crime
• Schools must implement aggressive programs when tackling bullying and
harassment.
• Ban animal testing
• Tougher laws on 'puppy farms'
• All young Australians are entitled to equal education
• Refugees should be processed on Australian soil
