The firmware update can only be performed with LOGO! 8 FS:04 or FS:05.
The voltage supply for the LOGO! may not be interrupted during the entire time of the update and must be within the permissible range for the
LOGO! in use.

Instructions for upgrading the firmware for LOGO!8 FS:04:  Innomotics Portal

Please note that upgrading the firmware for LOGO! 8 FS:04 restores LOGO! to the factory state and deletes the user program and all settings.

1. Perform the free update from V8.1 to V8.1.1 of LOGO! Soft Comfort.
2. Download the firmware update and save it on the PC.
3. Copy and back up program on the PC in LOGO! with LOGO! Soft Comfort V8.1.1.
4. Transfer the firmware update file on the MSD card to the root directory. Changes to the file, for example, file names, are not supported and LOGO!
cannot complete the update as a result.
5. Switch off the voltage supply for LOGO!.
6. Insert the MSD card with the firmware update in LOGO! and carefully insert the MSD card holder in LOGO!.
7. Switch on the voltage supply for LOGO!. Make sure that the voltage supply of the LOGO! base unit is stable during the entire firmware update
process and within the range described in the manual.
8. After completing the procedure, check the firmware update in the LOGO! the base unit.
9. Transfer the previously saved program back in LOGO! and make all necessary settings.
10. Check the program, function and settings and adapt them if necessary.
Instructions for upgrading the firmware for LOGO!8 FS:05:

1. Perform the free update from V8.1 to V8.1.1 of LOGO! Soft Comfort.
2. Download the firmware update and save it on the PC.
3. Copy and back up program on the PC.
4. Transfer the firmware update file on the MSD card to the root directory. Changes to the file, for example, file names, are not supported and LOGO!
cannot complete the update as a result.
5. Switch off the voltage supply for LOGO!.
6. Insert the MSD card with the firmware update in LOGO! and carefully insert the MSD card holder in LOGO!.
7. Switch on the voltage supply for LOGO!. The update is started automatically. Make sure that the voltage supply of the LOGO! base unit is stable
during the entire firmware update process and within the range described in the manual.
8. After completing the procedure, check the firmware update in the LOGO! the base unit.
9. If necessary, transfer the previously saved program back in LOGO!.
10. Check the program, function and settings and adapt them if necessary.

Notes on upgrading the firmware in LOGO! 8:

The firmware update can only be performed with LOGO! 8 FS:04 or FS:05.
The voltage supply for the LOGO! may not be interrupted during the entire time of the update and must be within the permissible range for the
