Glimpses of Job Fairs and Events section covers a brief of major career
events and job drives which took place in February 2024 under the NCS
- Scheme by Model Career Centers of states across India
Success Stories section covers the stories of Jobseekers who got
benefitted through the Employment services of NCS in states such as Uttar
Pradesh, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu
News section covers press coverage of NCS, released under some of the
leading publications in the states of Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand,
Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh

ABOUT NATIONAL CAREER SERVICE
• Easy accessibility of employment services like staffing, placement and recruitment to all the
stakeholders
• Enhancing employability of the workforce by providing them information on training &
skilling
• Provisioning of career counselling services
• Providing information related to job profiles, career paths & employers
• PAN verified institutions and rich database of job seekers
• Career planning and rich career content on over 3500 occupations across 52 sectors
• NCS has partnerships with various private organizations like TCS iON, Quess Corp,
HireMee, CSCs, Microsoft etc.
• Around 407 Model Career Centers (including 7 non-funded) have been set up across the
country till now
• National Career Service Centers for Differently Abled (NCSCs-DA) are being run by DGE
across the country
• National Career Service Centers for SCs and STs (NCSC – SCs/STs) for providing
employment related training and guidance are also being run by DGE
As on 26th Feb 2024, around 23,60,257 employers were registered on the NCS Portal
& the active vacancies count as of the mentioned date was 10,39,761

Differently Abled (NCSC-DAs) Overview
1. NCSC DAs provide non-formal vocational training tailored to the abilities of Persons
with Disabilities (PwDs) across various trades, taking into account their physical,
educational, and socio-psychological capacities. For a detailed list of trades offered at
different NCSC-DAs, please refer to:

2. These centers operate in 24 locations across the country, spanning the following
States/Union Territories: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai,
Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai,
Patna, Puducherry, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Una, and Vadodara.
4. NCSC-DAs conduct outreach programs through camps and job fairs to further extend
their services to the community.

OPERATIONS & SUPPORT SECTOR
Vacancy Number in Operations & Operations & Support
Support Sector
Get in-depth information on the Operations & Support Sector including Job Description,
Career Progression Path, and Key Competencies on the NCS Portal under the “Career
Information” Section.
With continuous growth in the Operations & Support Sector, its manpower requirement is also
increasing. The bar graph given below shows functional areas in the above-mentioned sector,
against which job vacancies have been mobilized on the NCS portal in FY 2023-24. It can be seen
that functional area of Customer Care Service has maximum requirement followed by
Administration/Back Office Activities, Operations & Maintenance, Travel Agency, Tour
Operator & Other Reservation Service Activities, and Hospitality. The graph given represents
valid insights to the jobseekers who are planning their career in this sector.
