Saratu Gidado was born in Gombe State northern Nigeria. She
attended her primary school in Kano state. She was the first married woman in the kannywood industry.

Aside from acting, Gidado was assigned as the protocol officer (Jakadiya) to the emir of Kano State Sanusi

Death [ edit ]

On April 9, 2024, the Daso family members announced that Daso passed away peacefully during the early hours
of Tuesday while asleep, following the midnight meal before starting the day's fast for Ramadan Suhur.[6]
