Young people’s path to employment: aspirations vs reality.

50% of students are dropping out of the university because

they have changed their preferences. One of the crucial
aspects is a big gap between young people's aspirations and
the realities they face in the job market.

One of the common aspirations among teens is that every

hobby can transform into a future job that can give them
financial stability and a comfortable life. Easy jobs that don’t
require any hard or soft skills are usually badly paid or
dangerous.
Another one is about understanding the level of
competitiveness for applying for a job. Because the vast
amount of СVs sent for a job exceeds the number of needed
employees many times. It isn’t unusual for programmers to
search for their jobs for more than a year and send tons of
resumes.
Last but not least is about the career. Most young people
think that advancing them to a management position will
take less than 2 years. When in modern society it usually
consumes more than 20 years.

In conclusion, the gap between young people's aspirations

and the realities apparently should be reduced by adding
appropriate lessons into the schools timetables or other
methods, because this problem is really crucial for modern
society.
