ADD A POMPOM

For a big pompom of 3.5’’ [9 cm] of diameter, cut two cercles of 3.5’’ [9 cm] of diameter in a light
cardboard. Cut in the middle of each disc a circle of 1.2’’ [3 cm]. With the yarn used for the hat, make a
little skein then double it. Put the two cardboard rings one over the other and make a knot all around to fix
your thread. Wind your doubled thread all around the ring until the opening will be too narrow to pass the
thread (if you do not have enough yarn, repeat the operation after tying the new thread to the previous
one). Then, slip sharp scissors between the two cardboards discs and cut all the wraped threads. Cut a 16’’
[40 cm] tail and slip it between the two discs, make a knot and tighten strongly. Open the discs, cutting
them by the side and remove them. Even up the ends of the thread and sew the pompom on the hat (do
not hesitate to fix it on several points to tie it firmly). Wear proudly !
