1.

Explain your point of view of the Holocaust from the two different perspectives the
Jews and the Germans.

First, for the jews, it was one of the worst massacres of all time. People lost everything they were
treated poorly. They were invaded and taken out of their home. It was the worst period for
Jewish people. But they still maintained their faith and religion and had secret religious groups in
the concentration camps.

The Germans thought that they were going to be the world’s greatest power have everything.
They were ruthless they just wanted more and more and more power without noticing the
damage that they were making. They were smart and had great strategies but that’s not enough
when you have basically the world’s biggest superpower against you like the US and their allies.

2. Explain the Jewish religion, Beliefs, traditions, and customs

The Jewish religion believes that there is one God who created the universe. It states that the
messiah hasn’t come but will one day. And that people who follow the religion will have a place
in a perfect world

The jews believe that there is only one God, God is everywhere and can do anything. God
doesn’t have a body. That God punishes the good and the bad and that God is fair.
They have many traditions and customs. The main tradition I know is the bar mitzvah and the bat
mitzvah one is for the girl and one is for the boy it’s basically a Jewish quinceanera just
celebrated differently. They also eat apples with honey in new years like wishing a sweet year.
Also, they don’t leave death alone.

3. Write a Biography of any of the important personalities you’ve studied during this
school year.
Napoleon Bonaparte
Napoleon in my opinion was a genius. Someone that doesn’t lose a battle that in his LIFE
only lost one battle it’s amazing you have to have an amazing brain for that. Also, he
wasn’t short like people think he was average but they did call him the little captain. He
improved the french military in general and invented the Napoleonic code a sample of
civil laws code. He also cared for education and help reorganized education. But he was
well known for his work in the expansion of the french dominance he helped France
expand a little more with battles and battles. But most importantly he was a hero. he
fought in many battles like the battle of the Nile and the battle of waterloo. He founded
an empire he revived the titles and symbols. There were many books written for him. But
he had many accomplishments also like demonstrating exceptional military skills, he
became head of the republican government in France, He made french education boost,
The Napoleonic code is now a worldwide admiration, but most importantly his
dominating powers made France the authority in Europe.
4. What was known as the cold war and the name which countries participated?
The cold war was a war that went after world war 2 it was basically a who is better than
who battle. It was more political and economic but geography and equipment were there
too. It had many consequences but there was one that for me was the most drastic they
started competing on who had better weapons and had a gigantic increase in weapons.
The countries that participated were the United States and the Soviet Union basically but
their allies were there too. Allies of the USA (France, Canada, Italy, Denmark,
Luxemburg, Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, West Germany, Turkey, Norway,
Greece). Allies of USSR (East Germany, Hungary, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Albania
Bulgaria)
5. What is a personal opinion on the battle of Britain?
My personal opinion is that although these people say Hitler is a genius man and has
great strategies I believe it was very stupid of him to gain control of France and then
through their aerial land went to invade well attack the closest land they had available
that was Britain through the British canal. Also during than they could have gained
control over Switzerland a small country and not as prepared for war its an easy but
strategic move.
6. What is understand by imperialism and give an example of modern imperialism?
Well understand of imperialism is when authorities want to extend their power through
military strategies mainly. But as my own definition imperialism goes hand to hand with
dictatorship why? well, imperialism is wanting to extend powers and have a lot of power
for their country basically prove everyone your country is better. And that’s what EVERY
dictator want MORE AND MORE POWER and that the problem. Now an example of
modern imperialism the U.S and its obvious they are playing monopoly with the world
having little properties that have a great impact on them like the Cuban missile base or
winning over Puerto Rico having control over Guam and you can say the Philippines too.
They are just trying to get the world under their power.
7. Do you think that if Franz Ferdinand wasn’t killed there was going to be ww1?
Explain why? Well, I believe it was still going to happen. Why? well because it was
when you know something is going to happen but still you need a trigger to provoke it.
They were just waiting for that trigger or excuse. And apparently the death of Franz
Ferdinand was a great one. Even though it was going to happen then or now.

8. State the differences between WW1 and WWII.

The main and basic difference WW2 was more bloody was more of a tragedy because they used
concentration camp human torture. World war 1 started with the assassination of an Archduke
while ww2 started by Germany’s economic and political instability. There were way more deaths
in world war 2. Obviously their weapons were different because there were decades apart and
many weapons improved which contributed to more deaths.

9. What did you understand by the term fascism explain?

For me, fascism is another pretty word for dictatorship. It is a system in which you cant oppose
the regimen the political power is strict the leader is very powerful and wants power for the
country more and more power.

10. What topic you like the most this year and why?
French Revolution mainly because last year I went to the Versailles palace and I knew it all when
we started to learn it and for me, it was very very interesting. Because the way they died and
everything but mainly the palace its such a beauty and you can definitely see the WAAAAYYY
expensive things maria Antonietta bought to make the palace bigger and with more gold. It
amazed me more than the palace but I was also curious about many things like how in this big
palace they didn’t have a safe room. They had like 2,000 bedrooms covered in gold but not a safe
room. I also believe that their kids shouldn’t have died it was unfair to pay the consequences of
their parent’s mistakes. But although all that it was a very interesting lesson and the favorite of
many.
