The background highlights the significance of early reading skills and the impact on overall academic achievement.

readings/existing literatures? Why does this research need to be conducted?

The study aims to address the challenges and gaps in current understanding of the factors affecting reading
development in elementary students. Reading is the true foundation of most learning (Ditona & Rico, 2021). Reading is
the cornerstone of all academic learning. Learning to read, write, and count is critical for a child's success in school and
in life. Furthermore, the acquisition of reading literacy skills is important for every learner because this will help in
almost every aspect of our lives (Keyser, n.d.).

Objectives of the Study (What does the study hope to achieve? Give at least three).

To Identify the key factors that promotes or hinder reading success among grade 3 learners’ settings.

To assess the impact of these factors on overall academic performance.

To propose strategies for enhancing reading skills in elementary education.

Research Locale and Respondents (Where will the study be conducted? Who will be the target respondents?)

Grade 3 Learners of Tu-od Integrated School

Literature Review: (What literature do you intend to review and why? Five for MA/MS students and at least 10 for
PhD/Doctorate students)

Examining existing research, this section explores theories and findings related to factors affecting reading development
in elementary students.

The study adopts a theoretical lens, potentially drawing on cognitive, socio-cultural, or linguistic theories to guide the
analysis.

Utilizing a comprehensive approach, the research employs surveys, assessments, and possibly intervention
strategies to collect and analyze data on reading development in elementary students.
