For me, choosing the right words in a business or formal setting is very important because it can greatly
impact the effectiveness and success of communication and it covey to our thoughts, emotions and also to
out intensions, using the right words can help to establish reputation, build trust and also taking to
professionalism. The right words can help also to avoid misunderstanding and conflicts to any business or
to the group that we convey.
My negative experience I had is during to our business defense where I used inappropriate words in an
attempt to sound more confident and positive. However, instead of making a strong impression, my words
are recognized as a abusive and offensive to my panel and also to some of the students presented too. This
resulted in a nervous and uncomfortable to front of everyone, so I think my message was not be given
well or they not understand it. It also affected my character and reputation, so I need to spend extra time
and effort to make my message will delivered as well.
This experienced educate me to the importance of being aware of my language and choosing my word
carefully in all professional setting. It made me realized that even a small mistake or ship of my tongue it
can have significant consequences of effective communication and I have made a conscious effort to use
inappropriate language and grammar in all business and formal interaction to avoid any
misunderstandings or negative impact on my message delivery.
