Skill 1: Ethical Decision Making

1. Have you developed this skill in a manner that it could be used in a personal and/or
professional setting? Why or why not?

I believe that developing this skill is essential to demonstrate how committed I am to

making decisions that are honest and ethical. I consider that I have developed this skill
even before starting this course, yet it has reminded me that being ethical in every
moment is quite necessary to make things right.

2. How might this skill help you succeed professionally? (for example, how would you be a
benefit to prospective employers, self-employment, etc.)

Being honest or ethical is something that companies or employers might look for in their
employees because they´re interested in maintaining professionalism. Therefore,
showing them that I can be trusted when making decisions can give them confidence
that I will neither do something incorrect nor dishonest.

3. How do you intend to use this skill to build the Kingdom of God and/or strengthen your
family and personal relationships?

Making the correct decisions is always the right thing to do. So, I believe that doing what
the Lord has commanded, especially when helping his children, is the priority, but it
would always be necessary to do it with love, patience, and integrity.

Skill 2: Integrity/Professionalism
1. Have you developed this skill in a manner that it could be used in a personal and/or
professional setting? Why or why not?

I believe that I´m still getting used to adapting to my degree and all the things that are
involved with it. It isn’t as easy as it seems, but that doesn´t mean it is not possible, on
the contrary, understanding what my job is, could give me more tools to do a
professional job.

2. How might this skill help you succeed professionally? (for example, how would you be a
benefit to prospective employers, self-employment, etc.)

This skill might help me because companies are always looking for employees that do
know their area, in this manner, they will be interested in keeping them in the company,
which means they are neither wasting time nor money.
 3. How do you intend to use this skill to build the Kingdom of God and/or strengthen your
family and personal relationships?

I think that being professional in the church is a little bit different than working in a
company, what I mean by this is that working with the children of God it is always
necessary to be patient, loving, caring, and friendly. Apart from this, I consider that I
would require to develop those attributes the Lord has.

1. How would you describe this skill?

Communication is the ability to share thoughts, feelings, or important information.

2. Have you developed this skill in a manner that it could be used in a personal and/or
professional setting? Why or why not?

Communication is indeed one of the skills necessary in any company or organization

because it can be transmitted by speaking or writing. Nothing can be done if there is not
good communication.

3. How might this skill help you succeed professionally? (for example, how would you be a
benefit to prospective employers, self-employment, etc.)

Effective communication may lead to providing accurate information, and this at the
same time can lead to success in a company.

4. How do you intend to use this skill to build the Kingdom of God and/or strengthen your
family and personal relationships? 

As previously mentioned, nothing can´t be done without communication. In the Kingdom

of God teaching words of goodwill can help the children of God understand the plan of
salvation and what the Lord has prepared for all of them.

1. What could have been done to better assist you in the development of these skills? 

I think that the sources in this course are adequate, but acquiring and developing all
these skills needs time, so I have learned that I can continue developing all these
abilities.
2. Please describe in detail an experience (personal or professional) you have had where
you have successfully applied or developed one or more of these skills. For example,
have you used any of these skills to help you address a problem or conflict?

I remember a recent experience with one student who asked me for advice about his
English acquisition. He wanted me to tell him if he was not good enough to learn the
language. I knew that he had some difficulties, but I was honest with him, I told him that
he had the possibility to learn the language if he started using a plan made for him.
Everything was about practicing every day. Within two months of classes, he had
improved significantly. This experience taught me that I needed to be professional,
patient, and honest.
