Overview:

● When customers search Amazon for a product they want, Amazon partly chooses which
listings are displayed based on which keywords which are in the title, description and
“keyword box” (customers cannot see the keyword box).

● The keywords found in the title are the most important to Amazon, followed by the bullet
points, followed by the keyword box.

● The most important keyword(s) should be used in the title.

● Having all the keywords in your title and bullet points will help products rank better, but if
they are so horrible to read then customers will not buy it. It is still important to describe
the product benefits, which may not involve keywords.

● Therefore, it is a tough balance between using keywords, and making titles and
descriptions that customers are happy to read.

● The ideal length of a bullet point is about 200 characters, but it can be up to 300
characters.

● We use software to tell us which keywords should be in our listing titles and descriptions.
