BS CRIMINOLOGY PROGRAM GOAL:
 Encourage research and inquiry on nature, causes, treatment, or punishment or criminal behavior and how criminal justice agencies function and respond to crime,
criminals, and victims.
 Prepare the students for careers in crime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection, correctional administration, public safety, and allied fields;
 Foster the values of leadership, integrity, accountability, and responsibility while serving their fellowmen, community, and country.
BS INDUSTRIAL SECURITY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM GOAL:
This program aims to provide its graduate with the following:
 A strong foundation on fundamental theories of industrial security and its administration and understanding of constitutional guarantees of security;
 Ability to prepare programs for best approaches and practical application of these fundamental theories and concerns;
 A comprehensive knowledge of the diverse issues and concerns affecting security in the industrial setting;
 Competencies in the design of basic security system and their operation and functions such as but not limited to corporate and organizational security, internal office
security, business and commercial security, executive protection, intelligence and investigation as well as security for vital infrastructures such but not limited to seaports,
airports, and the like;
 Knowledge, skills, attitude and values for professional careers in Industrial Security Management and the practice of security profession such as:
o Security requirements of various installations of vital importance;
o Private and public security and loss prevention system and the role of Industrial Security Management in their operations;
o Executive protection and security to high-profile individuals;
o Information technology security; and
o Crime prevention and investigation and law enforcement as provided for under existing laws.

COLLEGE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE EDUCATION: CLFSCI – Criminology, Law Enforcement, Forensic Science, Correctional and Industrial Security
The COLLEGE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE EDUCATION has identified the following goal: To produce law enforcement officers who walk with Honor and pride as gentlemen and
women compassionate yet just in the delivery of public service.
To work toward that goal, the college engaged in discussions to develop a shared research agenda that would guide current and future projects and, more specifically, define the
direction of the college. The research agenda outlined below is designed as a roadmap for the college to work so that projects are directly useful to faculty members, supply research
that informs policy and practice, and increase the capacity of faculty members to conduct and use research. To that end, COLLEGE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE EDUCATION identified
the following topics as areas of focus for its work for the next three to five years.
Topic 1: Criminology: Criminological research focuses on issues related to the causes and consequences of crime, delinquency, and victimization, as well as the operation of the
criminal justice system, with an emphasis on police, courts, and corrections.
Topic 2. Law Enforcement: Law enforcement, as one branch of the criminal justice system, is responsible for upholding social and public order. Law enforcement research focuses
on the various issues that affect law enforcement agencies, with a particular emphasis on public safety, quality policing and community policing, recruitment and retention of quality
officers, risk disaster management, investigation process, information and communication technology, crime mapping, crime reports and statistics, gender and crime, and crime
classification system
Topic 3. Forensic Science: The identification and quantification of criminal justice evidence using scientific techniques and technologies is the focus of forensic science research.
Reliable and valid forensic science analytic methods are essential for a credible and equitable criminal justice system.
Topic 4. Correctional: This correctional research focus on the arrest and sentencing of the offender, parole and probation, capital punishment, offender classification, restorative
justice, correctional system, drug violation, extortion, contraband, prison gang and rehabilitation and reintegration of the offender in the community.
Topic 5 . Industrial Security: Industrial security research focuses on a notion that refers to a series of security activities that protect resources and reduce risk and loss in order to
prevent the leakage of key technologies and confidential information at the enterprise level, as well as how this affects national issues. It also emphasizes on the advancement of
industrial economics theory, developments in industrial economy studies, and a significant supplement to and improvement on industrial economics theories.
