1.0 Purpose: The Purpose of this procedure for training of employees to implement a system to identify the training based
on the competence of personnel performing tasks which act as guidelines to all PM NETWORK People.

2.0 Scope: This procedure is applicable to all those personal / employees whose work or activities may affect the product
quality / quality system at PM NETWORK Plot No. 150/93/B, Maruti Industrial Estate Behind Glow Tech Steel, Gondal
Road, Rajkot 360004.

3.0 Responsibility: QA/HRD/ MR.

4.0 Procedures:
4.1 Every employee of the organization shall be trained on his / her area of operation prior to starting the work.
The training shall be imparted depending on the nature of job and responsibilities which is mandatory for each
employee.
4.2 Training Plan:
4.2.1 The training needs shall be based on the criticality of the operation performed by the employees
working in different areas.
4.2.2 Departmental Head shall identify the need of training for different levels.
4.2.3 At the start of the fiscal year concerned departments shall prepare a Training Calendar (Refer as per
format no. ZPI/SOP/HRD/001/F1, Training Calendar).
4.2.4 The training calendar shall be approved by the Head- Concerned department and Head- QA.
4.2.5 One week prior to execution of training, the HR representative/ responsible person for training, shall
circulate a reminder to concerned HOD, so that they can plan accordingly the activities of their
employees. Concerned department shall confirm the date of training.
4.2.6 On the identified training topic, the trainer shall prepare the PowerPoint presentation or any other
way of communication.
4.3 Selection of Trainer
4.3.1 Head– QA in consultation with concerned HOD shall identify internal trainers from different
departments based on his / her qualification, communication / presentation skills, experience,
knowledge and expertise or combination of thereof in the different areas of operation.
4.3.2 Prior to the start of the internal / external training the participants shall fill their attendance for all
types of training (as per format no. ZPI/SOP/HRD001/F2) Training Attendance and Evaluation Sheet).
4.4 Planning and Execution of Internal Training
4.4.1 Internal training is the training which shall be conducted within the organization by the in house
faculty only. It is divided into three main categories as mentioned below:
− Induction Training.
− Annual Calendar.
− Refresher Training.
4.5 Induction Training
4.5.1 Training which is covering the overview of organization, unit and department.
4.5.2 The induction training shall be imparted to every new employee, who joins the organization and shall
be coordinated by the HR department. (As per format no. GL/SOP/HRD/001/F3, Induction training
record.
4.5.3 The HR department shall prepare an induction training schedule for every new joiner and one copy of
the training schedule shall be sent to concerned HOD, where the induction of the new joiners are
scheduled.
4.5.4 Initial induction training is carried out by the HR department. Induction training manual / PPT shall be
used by HR department for the training purpose which cover topics like:

− Introduction about the company.


− Organizational Structure.
− Key personnel and organization structure of various departments.
− Product range.
− HR policies e.g. shift timing, leave policy and other employee benefit policies.
4.5.5 As per the induction training schedule, the new joiner shall go to different departments for the
interaction with concerned HOD and staff members.
4.5.6 HOD of various departments or his / her designee shall brief the new joiner about their departmental
structure, departmental functions and interaction process with different departments.
4.5.7 Training on the required SOP to the operator / worker shall be imparted by the concerned area in-
charge.
4.5.8 After approval of any new / revised SOP the training shall be imparted by the concerned user
department to concerned persons before implementation of the SOP.
4.5.9 If any employee is transferred from one area of operation to another area of operation within the
department, training on related SOPs shall be imparted to the employee.
4.5.10 If the revision of the SOP is done without any change, then training on the SOP is not required.
4.5.11 Routine training of SOP shall be imparted to the employees as and when required due to some non-
conformance or market complaints.
4.6 Refresher Training
4.6.1 All employees shall undergo Refresher training on the procedures of their respective functions and
related or cross functional department processes, wherever applicable.
4.6.2 Refresher training shall be carried out as per on-going training calendar, and whenever there is a
procedural change or revision in the SOP.
4.7 Evaluation of Training
4.7.1 The evaluation shall be conducted after training except the external training by the means of
Questionnaire or Oral feedback on need basis to check the effectiveness of the training program
(Refer as per format no. ZPI/SOP/HRD/001/F4, Training Evaluation Questionnaire).
4.7.2 If the scored mark is less than 60%, then the employee shall be retrained & re-evaluated.
4.7.3 The Competency shall be checked after 30 to 40 days for each type of training except the external
training by monitoring their work to check the effectiveness of the training program.

4.8 Skill & Competency matrix shall be prepared in format no. ZPI/SOP/HRD/001/F5.
