All Visa products are designed and produced in Italy.

The reference standards for design and production are therefore the European standards.

It is quite common to find a perfect equivalence between European standards and standards adopted by other countries.
This happens especially in emerging countries that have had strong economic exchanges with some European countries in the past.

In other cases it is almost impossible to find a similarity between the norms of different countries as these are different both in content
and in the division of topics.

Generating sets are considered machines and fall within the scope of the
machinery directive 2006/42 / EC.
The fundamental purpose of the directive is to ensure that all machinery
introduced into the European community are safe and produced according to
common guidelines.

Unlike other types of machinery (established by the machinery directive), the

generating sets are part of those machines that can be self-certified by the
manufacturer (without the certification of an external body).

There is an harmonized regulation specific for generating sets: ISO8528-13.

This specific norm concerns all the safety aspects of the generator and recalls
the standards to be followed for each type of risk (for example, IEC 60204 for
all electrical aspects). For each product, Visa collects and
records all the information and data

For each product, Visa collects and records all the information and data necessary to
demonstrate the conformity of the product. A risk analysis is performed to maintain the
best safety level

Visa also manufactures machines that in some aspect are not complete and that are called «partly completed».
These machines are typically intended for expert installers or other machine builders who then complete the
machine or insert it into a larger plant.

Typical example are machines without controller or without radiator etc

In this case Visa releases a Declaration of incorporation, wich reports an explicit list of safety point that are not
covered.

In this case CE marking can not be released.

The standard adopted to project and test separate control panel (i.e. ATS) is CEI EN61439.

It is normal to find specific local regulations defined by local authorities.

In practice, local regulations are more restrictive than international ones and can also be used in
particularly restricted areas (e.g. the historic center of a city).

Visa obviously is not able to know all the regulations but by retrieving the
specifications, it is possible to analyze them together and check whether the Visa
machines fulfill the requirements
