The Anki were an alien race that attacked earth.

They had the ability to grow stronger the more they

fought. Humanity stood no chance until some extraordinary people stood forward, with their own
powers. They were known as the "Originals". The first people to ever awaken an ability. Later more
people started awaking them, but they weren't even close to the level of the originals. Still, only around
20 precent of the population had these abilities and the rest were relying on salvaged tech. Most of the
military force was like this. They salvaged the tech from battlefields and increased their own fire power.
Our protagonist, Tobias Maxwell, is a pilot for the U.S army. When he first came to the army, he quickly
soared through the ranks, gaining the status of a legendary pilot.

"Bravo 6, do you copy? Over." said a voice over the radio.

"Alpha 1, I hear you loud and clear. Over." replied a young looking man from the inside of a fighter jet

"Bravo 6, remember the mission, destroy the mothership and get out. Alive. Over." The voice replied.

"Edward, relax, I'm the best pilot the army has to offer. Plus, this beefed up F-35 is amazing. I never had a
flight this smooth. Anki tech really is something." The man reasurred.

"Bravo 6, this is a mission, refer to me as Alpha 1. Ove-"

"Cut the bullshit Ed. Relax." Tobias cut him off.

"How can I relax?! The Anki finally decided to show their mothership! For all we know this could mean
the end of humanity as a whole!"

It was the truth, the Anki never showed their mothership. They usually traveled in smaller ships that
were more nimble. But not long ago, the ship descended, and it was a sight to behold. The entire ship
was the size of a small city with a crap load of cannons on top of it.

"I know, and it's why I was sent.." said Tobias, "To get rid of them once and for all."

As the 2 continued their conversation, Tobias encountered some hunter drones. Hunter drones were
remote controlled drones that were sent out to search for people and valuable ores. Tobias could finally
test out the jet.

Pressing a button, a turret popped out the bottom of the jet. Aiming steadily he pulled the trigger and
utterly annihilated the drones.

"Woah! This thing is packing! And that was only a regular turret!"

"That's right Toby! What you are flying in is a state-of-the-art killing machine!"

"You can say that again." Tobias replied.

But before long, he spotted it. The mothership. It was engaged with other soldiers and ability users on
the ground and in the sky. The mothership was equiped with cannons that had enough power to
demolish entire forests. Tobias put the thrusters to max power, and flew towards the raging battle. He
opened fire as he started taking out the smaller drones first. But for each 1 he would destroy, they would
deploy 7 more.

"Damn, at this pace I'll run out corrodium!"

Corrodium was one of the elements they discovered on different planets. Planetary travel has become a
staple in this day and age. Due to the leap in technology humanity took, they started a space race to
conquer more planets than the Anki. A number of those planets was inhabited by beasts. They ranged
from basic ones to Emperor beasts. Basic beasts were like the animals on earth, advanced beasts were
beasts that evolved through time and have become more of a threat. Beyond that, we have King beasts
and Emperor beasts. King beasts were beasts that held a great amount of power and unlike the other
beasts had great intellect. Emperor beasts were beasts that existed long before any other. Virtually
unkillable and dangerous. Back to the corrodium, it was like uranium, highly unstable, but in the right
conditions it would produce unrivaled power. Since humans couldn't replicate the fuel the Anki had, they
had to improvise. And then they discovered corrodium. It was the perfect replacement for the anki's
unknown fuel source.

Tobias continued blasting the bots away while trying to take out the mothership. Their attempts were
soon proved futile as they couldn't see a single scratch on the ship. It was then that Toby realised
something. If he can't destroy it from the outside, he would do it from the inside.

"Ed, I have a plan.."

"What is it?!" It sounded like Ed was panicked more than ever.

"I'll find a way to get inside the ship and blow it from the inside."

"But that would me-"

"Yes Edward.." Tobias cut him off again, "Godspeed, friend."

"WA-" Tobias cut off his comms. He started to fly around the underside of the ship trying to find
someway to get inside. He then saw the perfect opportunity, and flew up one of the hatches that
periodically released steam. He was keeping the plane as steady as possible, while activating something.

"Error! Error! Core overload! Core overload!" The warnings kept coming up but Tobias just focused on
flying through the narrow and winding tunnels. As he got closer he started to see a blue light.

'That must be the core..' Tobias thought, 'For the sake of humanity!'

He then pressed another button that caused the entire plane to shake. If one could see inside the engine
then he would see a purple core imploding on itself. As Tobias reflected on his life in his last moments,
he was content. Toby was young, only 21. He joined the army at his 16th birthday. Before that, he was a
humble farm boy helping his family out. When they found out he wants to join the army they tried
convincing him otherwise but nothing worked. Once he joined, he did everything in his power to soar
through the ranks and get to the position of 'World's best pilot'. And he truly did achieve it. He was
happy.

He finally closed in on the core of the mothership and he flipped a switch that revealed a red button.

"Good ridance, you megalomaniacs!" He pressed the button, and the core within his plane detonated
and caused the motherships core to also detonate. Just like that the entire mothership blew to pieces.

Inside the army HQ, the others broke down, crying tears of happiness and toasting to the clear win. From
this day onward, they would recognise Tobias Maxwell, as this world's saviour.

As the scavanger team was clearing up the left over pieces of the ship, they found something incredible.
A body of a man, destroyed beyond any recognition, but still alive! He still had a heartbeat. Checking his
dogtag, they quickly found out the identity of this man. This man... was Tobias Maxwell.

He was rushed back to HQ and put into sometype of pod, meant to preserve and slowly heal anothers
body. All they could do now, was wait...

While everything else was happening outside, for Toby, nothing was happening. He was floating in a dark
void, he couldn't see, feel or hear anything.

'Is this hell?' Tobias was quickly brought out of his thoughts when he heard a robotic voice.

"Initializing..."

'What the hell is that?' As he stared at the blue screen that has appeared infront of him

"Welcome, Toby! You are the first and proud owner of your very own werewolf system!"

'Were-what now? Weren't werewolves a high-ranking advanced beast?'

The window then changed to show multiple tabs.

As he thought of the stats tab, it quickly opened it revealing some new information.

'Human? I thought this was a werewolf system? I guess ill move on to skills'

Once again, as he thought of the tab, it opened.

But it was empty. Not a single skill was shown.

'Weird..'

He then checked the remaining tab, which was Quests. But it was also empty. After a minute or two, he
finally started to hear something. The buzzing of machines and the talking of people. He soon opened his
eyes and was met by a sight to behold. He was inside a pod of sorts in a lab. The lab was filled with
scientists and tech Tobias has never seen before.

"HE'S AWAKE!!" A loud voice startled nearly every scientist present, slowly turning their heads they froze
as they looked inside the pod. There stood the man they were ordered to watch over, with his eyes open
scanning the room

"Quickly! Get him out of there!"

'What is going on?' Tobias thought as he was being taken out of the pod.

"Welcome back to the land of the living, Sir."

"What do you mean? What happened?"

"You sir, are a sight to behold. Who would have thought that a face that young saved the entire human
kind over 200 years ago!"

"Uhh, run that by me one more time.. 200 YEARS AGO!?"

How was this possible? If anything, he thought he was out of a few days, or even dead. But this? This
was unexpected.

"Calm down sir, I will explain. You see, when they found you, your body was beyond repair. But they still
had hope, so they placed you into this stasis healing pod. The pod slowly repaired your body while
keeping you young. It took a whole 200 years for you to recover. Welcome back sir!"

Tobias took a second to process what he was told. He was out for 200 years? He slowly started to
remember what happened but he couldnt remember anything past the blast, except...

'Was that a dream? Or do I really have a system?'

"Please, let us escort you to the main commanders office. He will explain everything in detail."

They then took Toby to the commander. He was an older fellow, in his 50's. He had a scruffy beard and
was decorated with medals. He was also missing his left arm. Toby examined the man and has
determined that this man, has fought alot of battles.

As he was looking at the commander, he heard a ding and a screen popped up infront of him.

"It's an honor to have you back sir, we were eagerly awaiting your return." said the commander, "Please
take a seat."

Tobias sat down and decided to use his newly aquired skill.

"Likewise, Commander."

"Please call me Alexander."

"Will do."

"Now, let me explain the current situation."

Tobias started to listen intently, he was out for 200 years. So he needed to know what was happening.

"To start things off, the war is over. We have been at peace with the Anki for 45 years. Your sacrifice
brought us a way to defeat them, so we used it. And with abilities appearing every day, it was just a
matter of time."

It felt like a huge rock was lifted from Toby's shoulders. He was glad to hear the war was over.

"As you also know, the abilites appeared during the war. But they never stopped appearing. Now, more
than 95% of people have some kind of uncanny ability. Wether it'd be manipulating fire, or creating
matter."

'More than 95%? That is unbelievable..'

"We are well aware that you do not have an ability, but since you were a part of the army you will have
to take the new academy courses that were issued by the state government."

"... What?" Toby was now confused as hell, academy course? He has never heard of such a thing.

"It's the protocol, you will start in 2 days. Good luck"

And with that he was dismissed. The commanders assistant lead him to his new resting place. It was a
simple room with a window, bed, desk and a wardrobe filled with clothes and academy uniforms.

Toby took this chance to look over the system again. His stats were the same but now his skills tab wasnt
empty.

Toby quickly got to work, he called room service and requested 2 kilos of meat. At first they thought he
was just joking but eventually sent him the food. It arrived minutes later. He took it and set it onto the
desk in his room.

'Holy crap, will I be able to eat all of this?'

With that, he dug in. As soon as he took the first bite, he couldn't stop. He was like a bottomless hole. He
quickly ate everything and leaned back in his chair.

"Holy crap, that was amazing! I never ate so much, but i feel so energized!"

The stat jump between 5 and 6 does appear to be small, but Toby could feel it. He could feel his muscles
moving. He was filled with energy.

"Holy crap.. This rocks!" Toby stood up and left his room to go outside. The whole complex was
surrounded by tall and thick walls, but it was expansive enough to explore and feel free.
