▪ Requirement
– Condition or property that the product has to solve a problem or achieve a
goal
– Measurable criteria to fulfill contracts, comply with standard or formally
imposed documents
▪ Requirements management
– Process of collecting, structuring, harmonizing, and maintaining stakeholder
requirements, often according to the V-model
– Monitoring their implementation in the product or system
– Basis for subsequent / downstream processes
– Establishing requirements management within a seamless PLM process
contributes to faster, more efficient and qualitatively reliable product delivery
